We had an incredible evening at Raco D'en Cesc. An amazing spot, serving beautifully-presented unique interpretations of classic Catalan cuisine. Fantastic service in a welcoming space, with several private dining areas. An added bonus was the extensive selection of boutique beers on offer. We'll definitely be returning next time we visit Barcelona.

I live in Barcelona and this is one of my favorites. Classicsl but very tasteful. Do not miss the eggs cooked at low temperature with truffle oil.

Our group enjoyed an excellent three course menu with typical Catalan dishes, all cooked to perfection and served by friendly and accommodating staff. The vegetarians in our party were able to get alternative dishes without problem. Overall, a very pleasant and friendly venue.

Flawless service, some super tastes, and an elegant - and blissfully uncramped - space with a mixture of business-lunch types and foodie tourists like ourselves, all made for a pleasant second visit to this Barcelona classic. I looked in vain for the strawberry gazpacho with soured cream and lobster, enjoyed first time around, and can only hope it will some... More

This is a restaurant to which I have returned six or seven times over the last two years. The tasting menu changes at the start of Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter and such is the creativity and quality of the food, that it is with great anticipation that I now look forward to each new season. The a la carte... More

Food, atmosphere and service is all great here. Good value for money. Would definetly come back. They deserve a bib gourmand in my opinion. Also besides wine they serve high end gourmet beer with more than 250 varieties if I remember correctly, so that's nice if you're into that.

When I enter, the atmosphere tell me about an end of 19-es beginning of 20-es century. Then came the meal... Fusion, very, very good, unexpected combinations. I think it was one of the best lunch I ever have, in which, of course, I can include another one in Barcelona. A place where you must go, a MUST!

A business meal with around 15 people in our group. The large rectangular table was a good size and left plenty of space to move around and share the food. The tapas were excellent, especially the mash potato with truffle. The sardines, anchovies and fish tartare were all delicious and very well presented. The selection of craft beers from UK... More

Staying in Eixample

Neighbourhood Profile
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognised architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
