Couldn't recommend this place more - obviously a haunt of the locals which says a lot. We had 7+ tapas and a bottle of wine for under 30 euros. Waiters and atmosphere couldn't be better!

Definitely the place to be for those who want to stay away from Barcelona's touristy spots. We went there on a Thursday evening at about 21:30, and even though it was at the end of March, we had to queue for about ten minutes before having a table. The queuing system is very well organised, as one of the many... More

Great food, great service, fun atmosphere. Can't really say more than that! I've been here so many times and the food is always great. Try the croquetas de rustido, they are BANGING

Okay...It's a little out of the usual Barcelona circuit, but is actually only a few subway stops away. And it's worth a visit. We arrived just before 8pm on a Friday night as suggested by reviews read. My notes said it shouldn't be open yet, but it was. And it was hopping. We got a table without waiting, but when... More

A real local restaurant. One of the best option for classic Tapas. Do not miss if you go to Barcelona. Good choice for who do not enjoy touristic places.

Definitively and fortunately out of range of the tourist mass that daily invades Barcelona this place has something very special. You feel you are in Spain and you eat like a king. They have great bravas, delicious seafood, Spanish ham and chorizo, tasty Galician octopus etc. they even have oysters! Great place, kind service and good price. I'll be back... More

If you want to experience a genuine tapas bar look no further. Service is good and they have English menus. Be prepared to wait for a table on the terrace and note it closes on Sunday evening and all day Monday. Prices are much better than less authentic bars and the quality of the food is superior.

In a city dominated by tapas food chains, la Esquinica probably offers the best authentic tapas in Barcelona. Don't expect fancy tourist tapas, nor a modern design restaurant. The restaurant is always full, so you better try to be there early to avoid having to cue. The place can also be very noisy, specially when you are surrounded by a... More
