Really delicious food in a laid back environment with lovely service - what more could you want! Highly recommend the ceviche, octopus and also the gnocchi dish - these were our favourites! Lovely place for dinner if you're in Barcelona - would recommend booking though just in case!

Bar Mut was recommend from our Hotel concierge and it is a great tip if you want to go to a small, cozy and lively bar. There is no menu and the friendly service will explain all they have. Food is great, we had Jamon Iberico with tomato bread and fish dishes as well as traditional catalan food and desert.... More

A fantastic option to eat delicious tapas and to drink good wine. It is need to make a reservation, because there are few tables and it is allways full. Fresh products (fish, vegetables, met...) all of good quality. There is a small terrace ideal to do "el aperitivo" (small meal before lunch).

The service was great, very friendly and attentive. Our son has Celiac and there were plenty of GF options and the staff very understanding. Everything we ordered was delicious, from the grilled razor clams, grilled octapus and filet mignon with foie gras (omg out of this world). We literally moaned over the steak and the French toast dessert. Well worth... More

Wide selection of wines and tapas in a small but cozy bar. Very easy to make friends for a tourist passing by and a nice place to start a night out.

Had excellent fish, scallops, razor clams, shrimps, foie gras, beef medallion etc. All very fresh and nicely prepared. No menu, so be prepared to show them photos or describe what to order.

We had 5 days in Barcelona, and one restaurant recommendation from a friend: Bar Mut. We tried it for lunch, were blown away with the ambience and great food, and went back for dinner the following night. Book ahead, as seating is limited. As long as you and your credit card are on good terms, just ask the waiter to... More

Some of the courses and the service was excellent. But the chefs recommendations didn't quite make it. From seafood to doughy canneloni... a culinary coup de gras. Pricey, considering the lack of judgement.

I went here on my own for an extended solo trip (on recommendation), and had one of my favorite meals in Barcelona. The staff is warm, well-informed and very friendly. The food is truly delightful. Some standards, but some very unique combinations that left me inspired to return, as soon as I can!

Staying in Gracia

Neighbourhood Profile
Gracia literally stands out from the pack. It used to be an independent town until late into the 19th century. Though it’s just a short commute away from the centre, a visit here feels like you’re in a whole different city. The bohemian vibe has drawn many international artists to this area, resulting in a wide selection of galleries, live music and artsy boutique stores. The nightlife is centered around the vibrant Gracia’s plaças, where young and old gather to enjoy a drink outside. Carrer de Verdi, its main street, offers affordable restaurants and a movie theatre that screens new as well as classic films in their original language. However Gracia's greatest treasure lies just up the hill at Guell Park, where Antoni Gaudi's vibrant and revolutionary art sculptures stand atop unequaled views of Barcelona.
