This was such a lovely place, nice ambiance, fantastic food and great serving. The dishes where delicious, with great mixtures of different flavours and a waiter who knew it all! If you would ever go there, I recommend the citrus dessert with the spanish dessert wine, best combination ever.

We are here for Christmas Eve and loved it so much we came back again before our trip was over. Staff is friendly. Food was amazing and they had their own brew of beer that was excellent! Highly recommend! More

My mother and I had an amazing time here on our last evening in Barcelona. We were a bit tired from a day of traveling (and more to come!) but we were instantly delighted by the lovely atmosphere and our particularly thoughtful, kind server. I had red wine by the glass, my mother had beer, and both were well-priced and... More

Stunning little bistro in Central Gothic area of Barcelona, visited for dinner and can honestly say it was absolutely superb, low key dress code was welcome but food and service were first class, could not fault anything (well maybe the cheese plate was a bit stingy?) The staff were wonderfully helpful outlining certain elements of the dishes and suggesting sides... More

While wondering the streets of the beautiful city of Barcelona stopped by this restaurant what seemed cosy and nice place to spend your time in and relax. Although it isn't, the guy who greeted us at the entrance was polite and friendly. When he guided us to our table, the other guy brought us menus. After going through the menus... More

We had been wandering about the Gothic Quarter and this venue has caught our eye (for the second day running), but kept strolling. Given it was our last day in Europe we all decided "why not?" It had just gone 7pm when we entered. When asked if we had a reservation, suddenly disappointed we said "No". However the head host... More

The first thing that strikes you is the intimate atmosphere and rustic interiors. We fell in love just walking past the windows earlier and had to try it out and after having starters, main meal and desserts accompanied by a coffee and a Pedro Ximenes we were happy in both minds and stomachs. It's not the cheapest place in town... More

Best meal i had in Barcelona on Christmas day! The service was very attentive and the food was excellent. We went back a second time and had the same great service and delicious food. I recommend this place hands down. Plus the prices are really good for the value!

Description
Next to one of the main streets of Barcelona, Laietana track and a short walk from the central market of Santa Caterina, Arcane is the restaurant.Located in an old seventeenth-century barn, mark of beautiful Romanesque arched forms and stone walls that crown many of its spaces. The Mediterranean cuisine is an invitation to the traditional recipes of the coastal region from fresh and balanced dishes that will make your stay a real moment of joy and pleasure.Vegetables, meat and fish dishes are a real specialty Josper house you should not miss on your visit to Barcelona. Our extensive letter without being intended to be balanced, with meat imported from Argentina in vacuum packaging, preserving its taste and quality, pastas and homemade pies, grilled cheese, salads with touches of the house, fresh fish and desserts. At noon, the market offers an elaborate menu with excellent value for money. The restaurant has a private event booked, "winery" intimate and cozy space. And if you just want tapas and peck at the bar have an interesting proposal for this purpose, from fried eggs to escalibada coca bread. And after dinner, nothing better than enjoying our cocktails in a relaxed atmosphere and good music.Oh and if you can not be disconnected from the world, do not worry, we have wifi!

Staying in El Born / La Ribera

Neighbourhood Profile
El Born / La Ribera
The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few places that live and breathe such exciting energy regardless of the time of day. This neighbourhood seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants ranging from fancy Michelin-star establishments to trendy fusion restaurants. Here you'll find historical and cultural attractions such as the popular Picasso Museum and the Gothic cathedral La Santa Maria del Mar, where you just might be able to catch a traditional Catalan wedding.
