Poor range of sandwiches, ready made sitting in a pile waiting to be toasted, what looks like chocolate cake is not, some very dry, tasteless, powdery sponge type thing

First, the view overlooks part of the park, so you get a restful change of scenery Second, the food is very well done and the menu offers a variety of choices more on the apps side, and two choices of more substantial meals The beverage selection allows sampling Service was excellent and our meal was a great value Tired of... Very nice patio (inside place not very exciting); order food at the bar. Basic sandwich but not very expensive, Good Classico and OK bikini. Credit card accepted (not Amex, like many places here).

A team of thieves stole my wallet with money, passport, phone and credit cards in the cafe on 10/18/16 at about 5:00 PM. This was not the worst- the worst was that the people at the Museum did not even care! When we went back to the museum, after having called 3 times to ask and report the theft, (and... More

After visiting the Miro gallery, my wife and I had lunch here and it was a lovely spot. We were in the more formal side with a view out to the grounds. The service was friendly and quick and we had a salad, some (intentionally) cold soup, and curried chicken crispies (like samosas). All was very good and we were... More

We visited Joan Miro between Montjuic and the archaeological museum. So glad to see the cafe right beside the gift shop. This nice clean cafe is divided into two areas: one for more formal dining and one for casual bites. We ordered sandwiches and coffee. Everything was tasty. However, the sandwiches are either all meat or all veggies. Wonder why... More

On the morning of April 9, 2016, my wife and I walked down from the fortress of Montjuic and got to the Miro Museum about mid-day. After touring the museum, we were tired and hungry, but the line for the cafeterian/bar was long. While I stood in line, my wife did some exploring and found that there is a sit-down... More

We went for a very late morning coffee at the snack bar and decided to stay for lunch. There is a section of the snack bar with huge picture windows over looking the Jardi de les Escultures which is used for lunch. We asked to see the menu which was interesting and with good prices. We were very happy that... More

Huge windows overlooking a green park, which is nice change from downtown or sea views. You can combine with a visit to the museum (or not), you can also combine with a trip on the Teleferic Monjuic. Tip 1: make a reservation to get a good table. Tip 2: chose the daily special to taste local specialties.

Neighbourhood Profile
Beyond the four columns standing guard at the Plaça Espanya, beyond even the extravagant and colourful fountains guiding your way up the boulevard, stands the impressive and towering structure of the Palau Nacional, the national museum. At this very spot in front of the cascades of the central fountain, Freddie Mercury and Montserrat Caballe gave the performance of their lifetimes to welcome the 1992 Olympic Games to this magnificent city. And true to its anticipation, the games transformed the city, reimagining the mountain of Montjuic with the development of an arena, stadium, and many other sporting facilities that are open to visitors year-round. Surrounding the adjacent side of the plaza are well-established hotels catering to business guests and a shopping mall transformed out of a historic bullfighting arena.
