Had for the 3 time dinner there in several months, this time again excellent value for the quality received. Mussels spot on, the Caldoso of black rice absolutely delicious. My partner had a perfectly grilled "a point " entrecôte with fresh home made chips. So simple but so delicious ! !!! 3 course dinner €18.50, cracking value for such a... More

We visited Sporting on a local reccomendation. First things first, at least for us, no one here spoke English, so that was fun. We figured it out anyway and had a very regional lunch. For about 20 or 25 Euro we each had lunch, and they pop a bottle of win on each table. It was a great deal, and... More

The set menus are a very good value, and the choices even inside the menus are very large. Everything is fresh, the deco is rustic and just breathes Galicia... and the waiters were very friendly, looking like they served they life long in this place, feeling home... It's a great place to breathe in some authentic Galician atmosphere and have... More

It’s possible to eat at a rather reasonable price in this restaurant, Especially as far as lunch is concerned. There is a quite large choice as regards the set meal (set menu) which by the way is usually indicated at a blackboard at the entrance of the premises. Among the dishes therein set out there is as a rule the... More

We were starving so we pop in because they had a set menu. The look from outside, unless you see they have the menu advertised, it does not look like a restaurant. We took the basic one which was allright...the portions are a bit small and I did not like the dessert at all....one of the worst ones I had...service... More

From the attentive and efficient service to the bustle of a tightly oiled machine, the restaurant purrs along with rustic grace. The food is top notch and the value is excellent. You might miss it if not for the crowd of people hovering around the front door. A must for any visitor

We found that authentic and original restaurant in the heart of Barcelona. Very typical cusine with excelent food. all conversation and the menu was in spanish which made our stay very exiting. The food was cooked by Mum and the price is very good. not for tourist, but for people who like to feel the origin of the city

Sporting looks like an old fashioned, house, but the reality is that is one of the best Galician restaurants in Barcelona offering food at a very good price. From the basics like oisters or the galician octopuss, to more gourmet receipes like the chickpeas with cod stomach, the cuisine of this place is what you get in one of the... More

Nice genuine unpretentious food. Anglerfish and duck dishes cooked very well - except that they were a bit on the salty side ! Lots of choices - quite a long menu - including the usual of pork, rabbit, beef, different kinds of fish, etc. my wife's Galecian soup was very nice , as was my avocado, salmon and mash starter.... I have been having lunch here ever since I was a child and I come back as much as I can. They offer an amazing deal: for about 10? you get an appetizer, a main meal, desert, bread and wine. The food is great (and typical from Spain) and the menu hasn't substantially changed in the last 10 years... and... More

Staying in Gracia

Neighbourhood Profile
Gracia literally stands out from the pack. It used to be an independent town until late into the 19th century. Though it’s just a short commute away from the centre, a visit here feels like you’re in a whole different city. The bohemian vibe has drawn many international artists to this area, resulting in a wide selection of galleries, live music and artsy boutique stores. The nightlife is centered around the vibrant Gracia’s plaças, where young and old gather to enjoy a drink outside. Carrer de Verdi, its main street, offers affordable restaurants and a movie theatre that screens new as well as classic films in their original language. However Gracia's greatest treasure lies just up the hill at Guell Park, where Antoni Gaudi's vibrant and revolutionary art sculptures stand atop unequaled views of Barcelona.
