Sol soler has a great atmosphere, great food and great service. The patatas bravas were the best we had all week, will definitely return!

As vegetarians, we had no trouble finding a wide range of tapas at this cosy restaurant in Barcelona's trendy Gracia district. We sat inside as did most of the other customers on a cold January evening, but there were some hardy souls out on the square too. Prices of tapas and drinks very affordable, and the service is friendly and... More

Good tapas choices, both cold and warm, with the patatas bravas taking the prize. Everything we tried was good, though. Service is a bit curt but if you get past that, it's kind of fun and it's just good solid food and drinks.

me and 5 friends, all residents in Barcelona, went here for couple of drinks and some tapas, fine. By the time I wanted to leave, I went to the bar in order to pay. That's when a very rude, unfriendly, unprofessional woman demanded me to pay for everything as they don't do separate bills. I would have no problem in... More

We visited Sol Soler in the Plaça del Sol in Gracia on the recommendation of friends living nearby and were very glad we did! The tapas were a little different to the usual and all totally delicious. The service was friendly and the square is lively and full of families. There were 10 of us, two families from age 5-79.... More

I just got shocked when I saw the size the tapas. They are ridiculously small, served in tiny plates. We ordered 4 tapas and 2 drinks and I had to 18 euros. We left very disappointed and hungry.

We ate here last Friday evening. We found it by accident tucked away in the corner of plac de sol in the Gracia district. We were made to feel welcome and the manager was very friendly and helpful. It was clean and there was a great vibe about the place with lively music and lots of chatter. I loved the... More

Staying in Gracia

Neighbourhood Profile
Gracia literally stands out from the pack. It used to be an independent town until late into the 19th century. Though it’s just a short commute away from the centre, a visit here feels like you’re in a whole different city. The bohemian vibe has drawn many international artists to this area, resulting in a wide selection of galleries, live music and artsy boutique stores. The nightlife is centered around the vibrant Gracia’s plaças, where young and old gather to enjoy a drink outside. Carrer de Verdi, its main street, offers affordable restaurants and a movie theatre that screens new as well as classic films in their original language. However Gracia's greatest treasure lies just up the hill at Guell Park, where Antoni Gaudi's vibrant and revolutionary art sculptures stand atop unequaled views of Barcelona.
