We visited Sol Soler in the Plaça del Sol in Gracia on the recommendation of friends living nearby and were very glad we did! The tapas were a little different to the usual and all totally delicious. The service was friendly and the square is lively and full of families. There were 10 of us, two families from age 5-79.... More

I just got shocked when I saw the size the tapas. They are ridiculously small, served in tiny plates. We ordered 4 tapas and 2 drinks and I had to 18 euros. We left very disappointed and hungry.

We ate here last Friday evening. We found it by accident tucked away in the corner of plac de sol in the Gracia district. We were made to feel welcome and the manager was very friendly and helpful. It was clean and there was a great vibe about the place with lively music and lots of chatter. I loved the... More

This was the one of the few places in Spain we went back to twice. It's very approachable with good quality, cheap food and drinks. The vibe and location really make it a great hangout spot, and it's on a square which is filled with lots of 20-somethings hanging out and having fun.

Had amazing tapas for a normal price. Do yourself a favour and go here. Lots of locals, which says it all. Good service too.

Sol soler is one of our favourite spots in the Gràcia neighbourhood. You can enjoy some great tapas on the lovely terrace.

Went here with a friend for a late dinner whilst staying in Gracia. Worth a visit no matter where you are in Barcelona! Great tapas and defo somewhere great for vegetarians! Only a shame we didn't discover sooner on our trip!

The hostel recommended this restaurant to us. They were not wrong. My only problem is the age old problem: the menu is quite restricted but everything is good. Should they try more dishes or would it ruin what they do? The beer is very good, but we regretted we did not try the wine, but it's never wise to mix... More

Staying in Gracia

Neighbourhood Profile
Gracia literally stands out from the pack. It used to be an independent town until late into the 19th century. Though it’s just a short commute away from the centre, a visit here feels like you’re in a whole different city. The bohemian vibe has drawn many international artists to this area, resulting in a wide selection of galleries, live music and artsy boutique stores. The nightlife is centered around the vibrant Gracia’s plaças, where young and old gather to enjoy a drink outside. Carrer de Verdi, its main street, offers affordable restaurants and a movie theatre that screens new as well as classic films in their original language. However Gracia's greatest treasure lies just up the hill at Guell Park, where Antoni Gaudi's vibrant and revolutionary art sculptures stand atop unequaled views of Barcelona.
