1st experience with Spanish food and waiter helped with entree and seafood paella. Both meals were well prepared, spaced out in between and could not fault the service. There were only 5 other tables so it was a quiet night however the view is fantastic. Could not fault the location, food or waiter.

The restaurant is located at the dike on top of the beach, so the view from the terrace is suburb. The food they serve is quite nice but a bit more expensive than the average restaurants in the wide area (not located near the beach). We had a hamburger and a turbot, both very well prepared but the portion were... More

I've been here twice in the last year both times in the evening and both times it's been quiet. I believe that most of their trade is from the beach during the day so an evening is a good bet for quiet meal. Food wise it's OK but not spectacular, I'd recommend the grilled sardines, had them twice and both... More

We came in the afternoon for a quick bite. The restaurant was empty. The waiter, who served us ( not spanish nationality-most probably asian), was explaining that we can not share 1 paella, because it is only 15 euro. This was absolutely rediculous. I insisted on having one, because it was afternoon and not even a dinner time. After the... More

We have been on holiday for a week and most beach days we have eaten here. I am shocked by the other reviews as our experience was very good indeed! The other beach restaurants are actually on the beach and the price is much more! This place has excellent Tapas. The staff are a little reserved English is spoken. My... More

Paella is good. But waiters and their atitude was so bad. Long long waiting time, some plates were missig and the best: 1,50€ every piece of little bread (that we never asked, they just bring to the table, when you suppose it is free). If you are patient and lucky you can have a good paella, if you do not... More

We went there in the afternoon for a late lunch and were pretty hungry. So we ordered what we assumed were big portions. The waiter even came back and told us that those were a big pile of calamari and those were for two people. In that case we scaled down and chose the one person portion...later a plate with... More

Made the mistake of planning to Sunday lunch at Bogatell beach - every place was booked out. Sunday lunch is obviously a huge local thing so make sure you book. We decided to eat here as it was the only place with a free table. We had two nicely presented but totally overpriced starters and some wine served to us... More

My partner and I went to Catamaran for a Sunday lunch. We wanted to treat ourselves, eat in front of the sea, romantic setting etc. Unfortunately I did not feel as special as I had hoped for. I believe that there are too many places in Barcelona where they think that if they are near the beach or on it,... More

Staying in Poblenou

Neighbourhood Profile
The futuristic Agbar Tower stands out from Barcelona's skyline in Poblenou. It is no coincidence then that this area of town is the newly crowned technological park of the city, its own mini Silicon Valley containing a tech incubator (Barcelona Activa) as well as a host of local and international high tech companies. To accommodate the onrush of new residents and workers, the area of Poblenou has seen a surge of activity in new high-rise residential buildings and two top-notch shopping centres catering to everyone's need. The ambiance of this area is calmer than the city center and the beautifully relaxing Bogatell Beach, popular with locals, is just a handful of blocks away.
