We had lunch on a Sunday at 12.30, and were lucky. Most tables at the front row were reserved, and we got one of the last ones out at the beach, in the second row. Within an hour, all tables inside had also been filled up. While the terrace is 10% more expensive (which is a bit of a strange... More

There were 6 people in our group. Food was tasty but not totally what some expected. Probably just prepared differently than other countries. Service was good but not excellent because one in our party waited exceptionally long for their food. This restaurant is in a good art of town and we I would patronize again.

Our hotel recommended this restaurant. We tried the tapas which were ok, but not all of them were worth its price for example the casserole of vegetables which costed nearly nine euros and contained some slices of grilled vegetables. The best dish was the mussel soup.

We had dinner at Ca La Nuri on 4th November. We're 5 (2 adults+3 kids). We paid 45€ for 2 portions of rice with very few seafood for our kids. We asked bread, simply bread, not bread with tomato, and after a long wait we paid 2€ for this (normally bread is free in most part of restaurant). Before paying... More

The concierge recommended this restaurant as we wanted to eat paella, a little change from tapas, and also a short walk from our hotel. This is a more modern decor and was rather lacking in atmosphere, especially at first when there were only four occupied tables. There are tapas here, but everyone seemed to be plumping for paella. Of course,... More

A bit weary after arriving trans-Atlantic from NY, we stumbled upon this restaurant only a couple of blocks from our hotel. The manager was very welcoming and got us a nice table and got our drink orders immediately. Enjoyed everything we ordered, especially the tomato and tuna belly salad and a rhum cake dessert. Good wine at a fair price.... More

We found this restaurant by accident. And glad we are that we did. Food is freshly prepared. House specials chalk-boarded attracted us in. Good, friendly staff. Reasonably priced. Quiet street for alfresco dining. Nothing to really rave about - just good value well prepared food.

The receptionist at our hotel recommended this restaurant and we were not disappointed. In fact, we ate here a couple of times. They serve mainly paellas and seafood, but they also have seasonal dishes such as duck. The restaurant changes the menu regularly to take advantage of the produce that is in season. We both ate seafood paella, which was... More

Staying in Eixample

Neighbourhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognised architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
