Tried four different tapas from a wide selection and that was enough, some looked like they had been out on the bar for awhile. The white wine was cheap and probably deserved to be.You know what they say you get what you pay for.

Basically this is a Tapas bar but with all the tastings served on Bread slices. Not a bad choice with about 15 different Toppings ranging from Salmon, Anchovies through to eggs and bacon. Beer was a bit warm but a nice local Red made up for it. Very casual place

This basque cuisine place is conveniently located in our favorite cluster of restaurant, in addition to the regular menu, you are offered to pick as many pinchos (small appetizers on sliced bread) for a fix price for each one of them. It is based on an honour system depending on how many toothpicks (one per pincho) are left in your... More

Came across this Basque restaurant by accident and we were pleasantly surprised. Full of locals and good choice of pintxo's and main meals. We went for the tapes (tapas) and recommend the beef stew. Got very busy but the service did not falter. Got one drink mixed up but no arguments, rectified straight away. The meal didn't break the bank.

A great little find for a drink and some pinxtos. The girl behind the bar is mega efficient and friendly as bar was really busy on both occasions when we visited. Huge selection of pinxtos to choose from all kept on the bar.

Ate here twice during our stay in Girona - both occasions were excellent. Very well priced local food - not gourmet standard but very tasty. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the restaurant has plenty of character and atmosphere. Would recommended without doubt.

Zanpanzar is tiny, but they more than make up for it with the big selection of delicious pintxos. Serve yourself from the bar spread, then count up the leftover toothpicks and pay the very modest price. A real Girona gem!

Such a great little restaurant and some of the best pinchos in Girona. Love it and can recommend it whether it's for lunch or dinner. And great staff.
