In spite of the over crowded restaurant we were able to get a table. The service was OK but with flaws. Reasonable prices for wine and food.

Heard so much about this place and were pleased to get a table on a Saturday night. However, although the food was hot and adequate, the atmosphere was non existent and service offhand A tremendous letdown. l

Simple high quality food, comptent staff and good wines at reasonable price. There is a bodega out back which you can visit or hire for large parties.

Enjoyed the oven-roasted lamb w/ several great wines. Lovely place with nice local flavor. The staff immediately accommodated our group of seven.

The oven roasted lamb was very good and one portion was enough for my wife and I to eat for lunch. Appetizers of "Croquetas de Jamon" and "Murcilla (Blood sausage)" were also very tasty. Topped off with great Rioja wine and very attentive service, it was a delicious lunch experience in Haro

The one star rating I have given does not relate to the food which was very good but to the fact that when I paid with my credit card I was charged in £ and not euros- when I complained the staff simply would not listen to me and insisted I had paid in euros. The MasterCard receipt is quite... More

We spent two nights in Haro, the weather in the UK was around 28 degrees but in Haro it was 18 and raining! We went on spec and had a warm welcome. The staff had little English which led to a misunderstanding over the starters but what we had was excellent. We shared the roast lamb and a good bottle... More

I love lamb so I was looking forward to going to this restaurant that roasts lamb in a wood fired oven. What a mistake. If two or more persons order lamb they get a cut higher up on the leg where the more tender meat is, but since my wife did not order the lamb my single portion was the... More

We arrived quite late in the afternoon........ starving! We chose the #1 on Trip Adviser and it didn't disappoint. Great traditional Spanish restaurant. I had beef tenderloin which was lovely and rare. If you don't like it that way, ask for it to be well done (sacrilege in my opinion!) otherwise you'll get it as its meant to be -... More

We're we late getting there so knew it was a possibility that there was no lamb left, given it takes several hours to cook... And I was right. A bit gutted, but these things happen. We had a black pudding starter, a fillet of beef and roast chicken for main. Both beautifully cooked. Service was good... Not overly attentive, which... More
