Great food, nice waiters that are very attentive. Helpful and kind. The could work a little bit on the atmospheric experience but it is weighed up by the other stuff.

A really good sushi restaurant. Great choice of fish, well presented, and top notch service. I read one review that said the service was a little "manic". I would concur with that which was fine by us as we like to eat quickly. But for those of you who like to take a little longer over a meal, take note!... More

I tried this restaurant some years ago and I was very pleased. Therefore it was obvious that we wanted to try it once more. We started off with sashimi then we had a selection of nigiris and maki rolls. The sashimi was amazing! The quality of the fish was very good. However, I missed the ponzu sauce. The nigirs were... The food is excellent. Great flavours, high quality and well prepared. The tuna tartar (recommended rightly by many) is particularly good. The service is good, though a little manic: the lack of elegance of the waiting staff strikes a contrast with the elegance of the restaurant itself, whipping plates away and almost throwing clean ones in front of you like... The food was very good overall. The tuna tartar especially. The mixed tempura (at 16 EUR) only comes with 2 tempura langostines and since we were 4 our waiter kindly recommended that we order the off-menu langostine tempura that comes with 4 langostines. We agreed but had to ask the price. At 22EUR, I think it's overpriced... But it was... More

This is a Sushi place I used to visit often when I lived in Madrid. The food is very good and the presentation is beautiful. But the price will be pretty high. I still think the but place is worth the price. If you are around, give this place a try!

If you love Japanese food this is the place to go! The chef's special sashimi is to die for and the presentation is so attractive you could eat the plate. We shared several plates and finished with the sukiyaki hot pot. The staff are friendly and helpful and happy to assist with choices. We could not resist our waitress' suggestion... More

We ate there after having perhaps too many "tapas" dinners in Spain. We booked with El Tenedor which worked fine. The restaurant wasn't very busy, but we were early by Madrid standards. We sat at the Sushi bar, which was nice. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The sushi was good, not great, but good. It was a nice... More

Staying in Centro

Neighbourhood Profile
Centro
Expansive plazas, local and foreign crowds, street performers, colorful lights, window shopping, restaurant signs promising the best paella, ham, and churros con chocolate- this is downtown Madrid, a collection of plazas interconnected by a network of side streets. Some of these side streets are wide pedestrian shopping routes, and some are hidden, so it's possible to duck in and out of the bustle as desired. The iconic Puerta del Sol is the giant crossroads of the city and a must-see attraction at any time of the day. The nearby Plaza Mayor, completely enclosed by historic red buildings, is an ideal place to grab a bite to eat outside, amidst scores of tables and people out for a stroll. Plaza Isabel II (also known as “Opera”) is smaller and a good meeting spot, and the stately Plaza del Oriente is the front yard of the Royal Palace. Centro can be touristy (pickpockets are unfortuately not unheard-of here), crowded, and sometimes gimmicky, but it is also the place to experience classic Madrid.
