Our guide told us about the history of this place (been here since 1894) and it not only lived up to it, it surpassed our expectations. There's no wonder why it has lasted for as long as it has. We had a lemon slush with...More

These were the only churros I tried but my sister is living in Madrid and these are the only ones she will have now so I’ll take her word for it - they’re the best in Madrid! The dipping chocolate served in a tea cup...More

Great place to experience chocolate with churros. The turnover for the tables were quick. Line up to pay for your order, you will get a food ticket, seat down at an open table and give the ticket to the server. There was glasses of water...More

Our guilty treat, but so worth it! warm churros dipped in this think chocolate goodness! The Porras are also lovely. This is the most famous chocolate and churros place in madrid and with good reason.

We were traveling with our 20+ year old daughters. This was a "must have!" It did not disappoint. Very near the Royal Palace. Enjoy!

A classy place to have a coffee break. The churros with hot chocolate were delicious and not too sweet. I wish the shop had better display of menus on the wall as it was hard for first time visitors to order.

We were not going to leave Madrid without having some hot chocolate, and this place did not disappoint. Yes, it is popular and crowded, but it all adds to the experience. The line moves fairly quickly and it is fun to watch the servers manage...More

performers, colorful lights, window shopping,
restaurant signs promising the best paella, ham, and
churros con chocolate- this is downtown Madrid, a
collection of plazas interconnected by a network of
side streets. Some of these side streets are wide
pedestrian shopping routes, and some are hidden, so
it's possible to duck in and out of the bustle as
