Waiting staff are fast but not always efficient with orders wrong etc. Worth a visit , good variety of typical Spanish food and we visited the Plaza Mayor branch so nice outside views - made up for average service.

Service is quick and prices are very reasonable plus the choices are varied. And they also have sets which makes it very convenient for tourists like us. And they have very excellent locations - as in they are everywhere. Prices of their hams too if you want to bring home are very reasonable, plus the quality is something that their... More

This place just hit the spot. We had the €24 deal for 2. 2 drinks, bread, plate of meat, paella and a dessert or coffee. Really tasty and intriguing looking at all the Iberico ham hung up. Well worth a visit.

...melting in your mouth! Friendly staff, delicious tapas and reasonably priced drinks. Doesn't expect tip, Spanish hospitality at it's best.

Perfect place for short stop after Madrid long walk. Tremendous number of ham (jamon) sorts in combination with glass of wine and goat cheese. One of the city symbols, and state as well.

If passing you may wish to pop in but I wouldn't make a special effort to get here. It has all the hams hanging up around the shop and a serving area in the middle

Wow! Never seen anything like it. Great for a drink and a small bite. Always busy and I can see why.

We were hungry and decided to eat our lunch there(not a snack), on the second floor. We have to wait for a table. We got pollo asado not freshly made, but reheated, and stringy asparagus. Not tasty and not cheap. The vegetables soup was ok.

If you like jamón, you will love this place. Place sells high quality jamón ibérico bellota and the cheaper jamón serrano as well of various types of cheese and chorizos. I can't understand so many reviews of people who saw the place and didn't go to eat there and gave it a poor review. You should NOT review a place... More

They sell ham. Get over it! Great name for a shop but it would be like going to the M&M store in NY. It's Not a museum!

Staying in Malasana

Neighbourhood Profile
Malasana
Hip bars and galleries, independent theaters and music venues, young people with tattoos and funky hair, narrow winding streets — this is Malasaña. Near the center, Plaza Dos de Mayo is a gathering of friends outside bars, dog owners, artists under craft tents, and creative types with notebooks and sketchpads on the plaza’s benches. It may not be as neat and tidy as many other parts of the city, but this only adds to the Malasaña edge. Shops and bars here range from hippie-crunchy to upscale trendy, and on weekends, the streets are bustling around the clock as the nightlife progresses from dinner to bar to disco to late-night food. On the west side of the neighbourhood is the subdistrict called Conde Duque, named after a large pink fort in its center that has been converted into a cultural center for exhibitions and performances. Prettier yet just as edgy, this intimate corner of Malasaña is home to a young international community.
