We had dinner here based on the great TA reviews. But we found it just okay. We got charged almost 10 euros for bread which we did not order. Food was good but overpriced. Staff was not overly friendly. I would say the ambiance was...More

Lovely atmosphere which made us feel we wanted to come back again to sample the restaurant. Free tapas with each drink. The wine was delicious and the staff were very friendly. Hope to return on this visit to Madrid.

Just far enough from the tourist trap restaurants around plaza Mayor, with a terrace in a narrow and quiet walking street. A bit expensive (30-40€ a person), but really tasty quality food.

First of all, the staff. They were all really nice, polite and made us feel at home. The food was simply amazing! We had grilled calamari and roasted pork. Just the best pork I've ever had! The restaurant is very clean and the atmosphere is...More

The roast suckling pig here was the best we had in Spain, and the rest of our meal was very good. The service was fantastic. The waiter went out of his way to accommodate us. I wholeheartedly recommend this place.

Just walked in this restaurant in the old Madrid. Excellent food, especially the calamari and the lamb where outstanding! For local specialties, the Cayos were excellent. Great house wine too. Combined with good service, it was a very pleasant surprise.

We first ate at La Taberna del Capitan Alatriste on a glorious summer evening in Madrid. We were attracted by the outside eating area, especially as very few good restaurants in the area cater for those wanting to eat outside. We couldn't fault the food...More

La Latina
La Latina is a charming neighbourhood with two unique
personalities. At first glance, it’s distinctly
old-world, with narrow streets weaving a maze among
charming stone buildings in sunny, bright colors like
yellow and pink. The other side of La Latina is
characterized by a young population and a bohemian
vibe, as evidenced by a dynamic and evolving selection
