I went with my family to have dinner in this nice restaurant and I was pleasently surprised by the courtesy of the service and the quality of the food. Definitely recommended! The "confit de pato" was exquisite!

I travel regurlarly to Madrid and walked in randomly. Positively surprised by this fusion tapas. I ordered peking duck in Pastry, Bacalao Tempura in 2 different batter, salmon tataki and the mini burger. Delicious! Certainly not the cheapest tapas in Madrid, but high quality ingredients and preparation. Service, not the most friendly, but did his work well.

Decided to give this place a try after being recommended it by a friend. Have just returned to our hotel after 2 hours wandering about trying to find the place. Tripadvisor should not display maps if they cannot get them right! Useless

Listed as a gastro pub off a small square this little but trendy bar while a tad above the norm in terms of pricing serves fantastic food the sardines and tempura are to die for.

We have just arrived back from Madrid and ate in this place on Sunday. The tapas were very tasty and unique. The cocktails were fabulous we had mojitos which were made with pomegranate and mango - very fresh and satisfying. The decor is great and the staff were very helpful. Visit

Could not ask for a better place for drinks and food. Great views of the streets which are always interesting. They had terrific gazpaccho, great tapas and terrific waiters who were full of information, great conversation, and fun to be around. Next trip, this will be stop number one.

Ended up here after we discovered a place recommended by our guidebook a few doors away no longer existed. From the outside it looked like you'd be paying more for the style than the quality of the food - luckily you get both! We had a great selection of Spanish favourites with an Eastern twist - e.g. curried chicken croquettes,... More

Don't leave here without getting a plate or two of the square cut potato fries with aioli mayonnaise and chile dipping sauce. The fries come from the kitchen steaming hot and full of flavor. The salads are fresh and delicious. The presentation is lovely. If you walk in at a prime time, you'll find a reserved sign on most tables... More

This trendy spot is in an area with lots of tapas bars, in a great location right off the plaza santa ana. The menu has a plethora of great choices- we went with some tapas classics and everything hit the mark. Can recommend the salad dish distinto, chicken croquetas, and the bravas. Only dish that didn't suit me was the... More

Staying in Huertas

Neighbourhood Profile
Also known as Barrio de las Letras, Huertas was once home to prominent literary figures, Miguel de Cervantes and Lope de Vega among them. The neighbourhood is committed to celebrating its rich heritage: Calle Huertas itself is inlaid with quotes from celebrated authors, street names pay homage to them, and second-hand bookshops pervade. Huertas receives a fair amount of spillover from the center — side streets around Plaza Santa Ana take on a foreign party atmosphere at night, and you always see young backpackers navigating the streets — but as you descend into the neighbourhood, everything becomes a little more cramped and slightly less refined, and takes on more of an underground feel. Live music is at the heart of Huertas: by night, its subdued bars are ideal for meeting friends, sipping cocktails, and chatting quietly while enjoying jazz or singer-songwriter performances.
