This was the best meal I've had In a long time!! My husband and I shared the piccante pizza and the gnocchi with 5 cheeses and truffles, everything tasted beyond amazing, better than food I've had in Italy. In our first trip to Spain I wasn't expecting to eat Italian food, but my husband wanted pizza. We stumbled upon this... More

An island of genuine Italians in the heart of Spain - it's not just Italian food, it's Italian waiters, Italian football on the flat screen TV and overall a very Italian atmosphere. There was this one moment when both the waiters, the bartenders plus a large number of patrons started cheering at the TV in Italian because there'd been a... More

Had a very nice meal here on a very wet Saturday evening in Madrid, Food and service was excellent and the restaurant had a great atmosphere. Good location on Calle Mayor and very reasonably priced. Well worth a visit if you're looking for a change from Tapas!

More

We ordered fresh salads, pasta and tuna tataki and they were all excellent! Wish we had more room in our stomachs as we really wanted to try their wood-ovened pizzas which every other table was having. They smelt heavenly and look really authentic.

The pizza was delicious and they had a lot of different options. Only con was that we had to wait for our table for about 40 minutes because we didn't have a reservation

Neighbourhood Profile
Expansive plazas, local and foreign crowds, street performers, colorful lights, window shopping, restaurant signs promising the best paella, ham, and churros con chocolate- this is downtown Madrid, a collection of plazas interconnected by a network of side streets. Some of these side streets are wide pedestrian shopping routes, and some are hidden, so it's possible to duck in and out of the bustle as desired. The iconic Puerta del Sol is the giant crossroads of the city and a must-see attraction at any time of the day. The nearby Plaza Mayor, completely enclosed by historic red buildings, is an ideal place to grab a bite to eat outside, amidst scores of tables and people out for a stroll. Plaza Isabel II (also known as “Opera”) is smaller and a good meeting spot, and the stately Plaza del Oriente is the front yard of the Royal Palace. Centro can be touristy (pickpockets are unfortuately not unheard-of here), crowded, and sometimes gimmicky, but it is also the place to experience classic Madrid.
