The food was ok, but check your bill because the price outside on the menu is not the same as on your bill.

It's in a location with too many other restaurants..I was the only person in there from 1:30 to 3:00. As you can see in the pictures, this is what you get for 12€

I order delivery when I received it, the focaccia bread was burnt and flavorless. Exactly the opposite of what I expected. I order the restaurant's signature pizza expecting it to delicious based on other reviews; however, the pizza was just average and not even sliced.

Small restaurant in the center of the city, warm atmosphere, good quality food and polite personnel. Though price does not meet the quality!

We had been here for lunch two weeks ago and promised ourselves we'd come back for a dinner. We fulfilled that promise this evening and we were fortunate enough to find Eugenie available to assist us. She is terrific and speaks Spanish, French and English. Since my Spanish is very limited, I appreciated her very pleasant help. We had the... More

We took a break from tapas and found this gem via a eyewitness travel book recommendation. Throughly enjoyed the eggplant Parmesan appetizer as my entree. My husband has the black squid ink ravioli with seafood filling and liked that too. For dessert we ordered the cheesecake which was more like a deconstructed cannoli. Our waitress Eugenie was a great waitress... More

We asked our hotel for an italian restaurant, and they sent us there. The food was excellent, the service friendly and genuine, the chef (who we congratulated) came to say goodbye. This dinner was an excellent surprise, we did not expect to have such a typical italian dinner in Madrid!

They have the wood oven like in Italy, and pizza is good. Appetizers also have their italian stamp, with mortadella or burrata (that is VERY hard to find abroad). Service was good and quick, but we got dinner earlier than usually. They have a very wide choice of wines and desserts as well. A little expensive because 2 pizzas, 1... More

We visited Donnafugata with our kids, we appreciated the good ingredient which makes food tasty especially for Pizza and Ravioli, also the waitress was nice and helpful to choose our meals. Pizza presentation was a bit neglected even though artisanal Pizza has to be this way. The service was speedy. To be mentioned: - 30% discount is applied only when... More

Staying in Centro

Neighbourhood Profile
Expansive plazas, local and foreign crowds, street performers, colorful lights, window shopping, restaurant signs promising the best paella, ham, and churros con chocolate- this is downtown Madrid, a collection of plazas interconnected by a network of side streets. Some of these side streets are wide pedestrian shopping routes, and some are hidden, so it's possible to duck in and out of the bustle as desired. The iconic Puerta del Sol is the giant crossroads of the city and a must-see attraction at any time of the day. The nearby Plaza Mayor, completely enclosed by historic red buildings, is an ideal place to grab a bite to eat outside, amidst scores of tables and people out for a stroll. Plaza Isabel II (also known as “Opera”) is smaller and a good meeting spot, and the stately Plaza del Oriente is the front yard of the Royal Palace. Centro can be touristy (pickpockets are unfortuately not unheard-of here), crowded, and sometimes gimmicky, but it is also the place to experience classic Madrid.
