Madrid was my next destination on the map for our Eurotrip. My brothers and i were visiting our youngest brother where he studies in Madrid and he highly recommended Gioko Grill. I have to say i enjoyed the occasional luxury of the place since we were backpacking and road tripping all throughout Italy. The restaurant itself isn't fancy but the... More

We stumbled upon this joint in the middle of a ling walk around Salamnca Barrio and boy was it a pleasant one! Go for mixed beef-bacon patty, it knocked us off! Service was awesome too!

Went to get quick meal before the derby match, all the tables were reserved so we decided to take our burgers to the park We had to wait about 25 minutes. Good and cheap beer (2.5€) I took their best burger doubled (filled with bacon and chease on top) and fries, it was tasty, good size (380 grams) but nothing... More

This is a good place to go in Madrid if you are looking to have nice burger. The meat is grilled and they the perfect bun and fries to accompany the meat. Value to price is good as well. Will return.

Here you can taste one of the most delicious burgers in Madrid, they compete closely with Alfredo's The meat is fresh done, apparently, on a daily basis without any kind of freezing. They mix the meat with other ingredients (bacon ie) that you can pick to build your own burger. Also they have selected mixtures for burgers like "Kevin bacon"... More

THE FOOD: good, but overrated and too expensive for what it is. People told me that Goiko Grill had the best burgers in Madrid. Well, I can't agree with that. As a huge burger fan I must say that the burgers were nothing special. THE SERVICE: bad. Food and drinks take a long time to arrive, waiters miss out some... More

Place used to be good, but success is on his head. Awful awful service, but the worst waiters I've seen. Totally to be avoided.

Visited goiko tonight. Found it from Trip and it is near our hotel. Saturday night and it was very busy. Got a place at the bar and had two great burgers (chipotle and kevin bacon). Our waiter Alberto couldn't have been nicer - chatty, helpful with an English menu and very efficient.

Goiko grill is a good choice to eat a good burger. They have original choices with good meat. Prices are affordable. Service staff could be more friendly and welcoming.

Staying in Barrio de Salamanca

Neighbourhood Profile
Barrio de Salamanca
Broad, tree-lined avenues with pretty streetlights frame the neighbourhood of Barrio Salamanca. With beautiful condominium buildings that make up most blocks in this area, this part of town is refined and quiet. It is also host to a few of the city's large shopping avenues, including Calle Serrano and Calle Jose Ortega y Gasset. A walk down these streets will reveal upscale chains, small boutiques, and plenty of opportunities for shopping or checking out the stylish displays. The locals here are polished and fashionable, the atmosphere is leisurely, and the lush Retiro Park on the southern border is yet another opportunity to enjoy the outdoors. A stroll through Barrio Salamanca is all about admiring the beautiful architecture, window-shopping, and people-watching in this upper-crust corner of Madrid.
