Great little seafood place with a fun ambiance. Fish was fresh and delicioso! The tomato pan was amazingly crispy!

The tuna tartare was excellent, probably the best I've had. Grouper and sole were also good. Would be nice if a waiter or two spoke English in the restaurant. Very affordable wines.

Another reviewer has said that this place is "quite expensive," and I am sure it can be. Three of us had an excellent dinner there for 135 Euros, including three appetizers, a turbot for three, a dessert, bottled water, and a fine bottle of rosé wine that cost all of 10.50 Euros. More food than we could eat. That is... More

Extreme quality of fish and seafood, very well prepared and served, nice seating and environment. Fast service for those who like to be served quickly. Staff rather neutral in the approach, do what they have to but not more. Watch out with ordering seafood by weight (as mentioned on the menu), it is absolutely top quality, incredible really BUT astonishing... More

I come to this restaurant often. In my view, this restaurant (along with its sister restaurant O'Pazo) is the best seafood restaurant in Madrid. The highest quality and freshest seafood. Honest and excellent service. I stress the importance of honesty as there are many seafood restaurants that trick clients into the most expensive options. This has never happened to me... More

This place never fails! The food and service are always excellent! Apart from having one of the best or the best material in town, his restaurants relaxed and simple decoration sums up a great experience. Items to order: Tuna tartar excellent Grilled shrimps whether red or white superb Best "salpicon" in town (shrimp, mussels, white fish, onions, vinegar and oil... More

We have visited several "marisquerias" in Madrid. Here the service was exquisite but the food was not up to our expectations. I believe it is a bit more expensive than other similar restaurants in Madrid. I think they have reached a comfort level based on their fame and popularity

The most impressive part of the restaurant was the entryway. The fresh seafood display as you enter stimulates the senses. The menu is impressive with numerous Spanish offerings. However the service made a poor impression. Our waiter was not patient enough and did not take the time to make recommendations. Given the extensive and tantalizing menu, a more committed waiter... We were advised to try the restaurant by a guide from a tour. We booked at eight in the evening which was when they opened on a Saturday evening. The four of us were seated downstairs at the back of the restaurant. We were among the first arrivals. The waiters tried to rush us into ordering. There was a lot... More

Staying in Barrio de Salamanca

Neighbourhood Profile
Barrio de Salamanca
Broad, tree-lined avenues with pretty streetlights frame the neighbourhood of Barrio Salamanca. With beautiful condominium buildings that make up most blocks in this area, this part of town is refined and quiet. It is also host to a few of the city's large shopping avenues, including Calle Serrano and Calle Jose Ortega y Gasset. A walk down these streets will reveal upscale chains, small boutiques, and plenty of opportunities for shopping or checking out the stylish displays. The locals here are polished and fashionable, the atmosphere is leisurely, and the lush Retiro Park on the southern border is yet another opportunity to enjoy the outdoors. A stroll through Barrio Salamanca is all about admiring the beautiful architecture, window-shopping, and people-watching in this upper-crust corner of Madrid.
