We visited this cerveceria after going through the Royal Palace on a warm afternoon. The place offers a good selection of dishes at a set price, accompanied with beer.

We had several tapas: croquetas and potatoes with cheese and jamon along with tinot de verano. All was tasty and nice for an afternoon snack.

This place is a kind of fast food place for tapas. The place is clean and the tapas are diverse. You don't feel like you are in a bar, but rather at a fast food place eating tapas. Prices are very affordable.

I think this place is ideal for fast and cheap breakfast or snacking during the day. Very crowded though, difficult to find where to sit. I had two sandwiches, coffee and onion rings for 4 euros. They have some offers where U can buy 5 sandwiches even cheaper.

It is not only cheap but also a good place to hang out with your friends have some drinks and eat some tapas. You should go on Sundays that they usually have promos! If you ever go to Madrid this is a MUST!

Well, it is a nice place, with wooden, small chairs, but you have free wifi what is not the case in every bar in Madrid. You need to order you drink or food, and you need to bring it to the table. In wensdays and sundays every offer from the menu is 1e. You can order nice tapas/sandwiches, or french fries... More

This place offered 1 € Montaditos and beers as well as frites on a Sunday my family visited. I read they also offer the same price on Wed. Good place to experience local cheap eats. Located close to Puerta Del Sol. Good fried chicken wings but passable beer selection. It can get very crowded and may need to wait for... More

Either you are on a buget or no, 100 montaditos is a must in Madrid. It offers a vast variety of tasty small sandwiches appetizers, and drinks for an amazing price in addition to be surrounded by lots of locals and tourists in a very good atmosphere.

Staying in Barrio de Salamanca

Neighbourhood Profile
Barrio de Salamanca
Broad, tree-lined avenues with pretty streetlights frame the neighbourhood of Barrio Salamanca. With beautiful condominium buildings that make up most blocks in this area, this part of town is refined and quiet. It is also host to a few of the city's large shopping avenues, including Calle Serrano and Calle Jose Ortega y Gasset. A walk down these streets will reveal upscale chains, small boutiques, and plenty of opportunities for shopping or checking out the stylish displays. The locals here are polished and fashionable, the atmosphere is leisurely, and the lush Retiro Park on the southern border is yet another opportunity to enjoy the outdoors. A stroll through Barrio Salamanca is all about admiring the beautiful architecture, window-shopping, and people-watching in this upper-crust corner of Madrid.
