You don't want to eat is a star restaurant and appreciate simple, honest and tasteful Spanish food. This restaurant has it all. Go for the cordera assada, simply great. And if you prefer some drinks or tapas before or after, there are plenty opportunities in the same small street. Don't forget to as a key before you leave - as... More

Good Roast lamb and Rabbit Stew. The service was excellent and atmosphere was family friendly. The price tag was high but the fare was traditional Spanish with exellent quality food being served.

Got to this restaurant thru Trip Adviser recommendation. As per most of the reviewers commented, it is worth making a visit, though it is slightly off the main down town. If you followed the "Free Walking Tour", it is within the walking route. The restaurant specialty is their Crispy lamb, it is not hard crispy roasted as I expected. To... More

It comes with potato or salad as a side. there is an open kitchen and we sat on the first floor next to the brick oven where the cook the lamb.... More

This is a large restaurant on several floors but it does not feel crowded, and the staff are very efficient. For starters we shared spicy sausage and asparagus. The roast lamb is a speciality, and two of us had this - it was excellent. The others had a fish dish and a risotto with rabbit. We followed this with desserts... More

The roasted lamb is very good, and so it should be at almost €50 (for two persons). The house Rioja Reserva at €25 a bottle is also very nice. So when looking for something else than tapas in Madrid this is a good place to visit.

A nice restaurant, very pleasant, efficient service, and the lamb is a must! They put a lot of salt on the salads but that's probably everywhere in Spain :)

Our first night in Madrid and we had a memorable meal at The Posada de la Villa. This is an excellent venue for large groups, family groups or couple. The service is quick and yet graceful.

Visited on a Thursday night, not many people downstairs in the room we were in, we were looked after by two waiters one young boy who was clearly new but tried very hard (even though he dropped our lamb on the table) and the 2nd waiter who was older was very rude and direct. The Lamb was okay, not bad... More

Staying in La Latina

Neighbourhood Profile
La Latina
La Latina is a charming neighbourhood with two unique personalities. At first glance, it’s distinctly old-world, with narrow streets weaving a maze among charming stone buildings in sunny, bright colors like yellow and pink. The other side of La Latina is characterized by a young population and a bohemian vibe, as evidenced by a dynamic and evolving selection of new bars, shops, coworking spaces, and other businesses popping up in the area. In the northern part of the neighbourhood, the Cava Alta and Cava Baja streets constitute the tapas center of Madrid, where each age-old restaurant serves up distinctive specialties like huevos rotos and patatas bravas. Locals have come here for generations to while away hours over drinks and tapas with friends. On Sundays and public holidays, the streets to the south of La Latina metro station transform into a giant open-air market full of locals sifting through tent after tent of art, apparel, and antiques. Any day of the week, the intriguing blend of the traditional and the hip make the streets of La Latina worth exploring.
