We had a wonderful time here! Cava Baja is a great street for tapas and Tempranillo does not disappoint! Have a vermú and a crianza and enjoy a fun time!

As the first customer's of the day we were totally ignored by the staff member who was cleaning the menus, eventually he acknowledged our presence, we are non Spanish speakers but attempting to converse in Spanish, asking if the kitchen was open, trying to order...food and drinks, I can only describe the welcome as hostile and unfriendly. We decided to stay as the restaurant had been recommended, we ordered duck thighs, the food was nice, but the atmosphere was most certainly not.More

Three of us ate her in early October on a Saturday night. We arrived at 8.20, got a table, and by 8.40 PM they were turning people away. Calle Cava Baja is very lively at the weekend! We ate tapas, of course, lots of jamon...and cheese. The warm duck pate was excellent. Their wine selection by the glass was good, and after two glasses each and plenty of tapas the bill for three was 102 euros. It's noisy, busy and fun. Some of the other dinners we also tourists but there were enough locals to make it authentic!More

I do agree with other reviewers that they can be cold and standoff-ish, but the waiters were not rude. Even with my intermediate Spanish they were actually quite helpful and provided us with excellent wine suggestions. The tapas and wine were the best in our...entire trip.More

I decided to go try Taberna Tempranillo after reading some of the reviews and I wasn’t disappointed. The wine is delicious and the tapas were amazing! I highly recommend that you seek this place out. They open at 8 so if you’re looking to find...a table then it’s best to go as close to opening as possible as this is small. If you don’t mind standing then it’s worth staying. I would go back in a heart beat!More

We grabbed the last of the few tables, and we were so glad we did. The wine selection was lovely and the meat was better! The mushroom, quail breast and tuna on bread topped it off! Would highly recommend.

Great busy wine and tapas bar. We didn’t had a restaurant and was really lucky to get the last table for lunch. Staff provided a good service and attention, food was tasteful and well presented

It's very much a wine bar / tapas bar, so the food will be relatively straightforward and definitely small plates. Still, there are plenty of really good food options, so it's a very good place for a tapas dinner. Don't go... More
