Typical Spanish chain store of the middle to upper class goods where you can buy anything from a fishing rod to aspirin or bread (good fresh selection) Also a pair of designer jeans the prices are normal high street and the restaurant serves a fair priced menu.

Price is average. Ambience is good. Paila was too salty and took 30 minutes to prepare. They prepare portion only for 2. After complaining about the taste they replaced it with a sandwich which was on the house. Other dishes were average.

This department store was very close to my hotel and I visited there twice during my stay in Madrid. It was huge and full with everything you need. Atmosphere was a little bit different than in the city centre of Madrid. Yes, it was a local shop in a way.

First, you have to find the right El Cortes Ingles building. We'd read about the amazing food court on the 9th floor, but we accidentally went to the wrong building and ended upon the top (fifth) floor looking at a literal Cafeteria. Hmm, I thought, maybe they're trying to be more subtle. But the menu looked standard, and then my... More

This restaurant is located on the top floor of the department store. We had to wait about 15 minutes in line but it easy since this is a big department store also and you can shop while you wait. They have a a good menu with lots of choices. It was an interesting and fun experience especially as our Spanish... More

Food was ok since we were starving, but not anything we would have chosen if we'd known. Service was rude.
