Wandered here for lunch after arriving in Amalfi by bus, having not looked up where to eat. It wasn't terrible but it also wasn't great. Just average food that is clearly geared towards tourists. Coperto is 2 euros per person and they inconsistently let some people use credit and others not. We kept getting asked if we were ready to... More

Arrived in Amalfi in time for lunch. After a quick walk around we came across this restaurant with tables in the sun, in a quiet square - just what we wanted. The owner (we assume, an older gentleman) made some suggestions for lunch. We only had a light lunch but it was just right, really enjoyed it and a very... More

After a promising start, being greeted by a seemingly friendly older gentleman as we were deciding which restaurant to eat at in this small square; being quickly offered a table in the sun and given English menus, our experience sadly went downhill. Whilst the food choice was fairly good and our dishes were delivered quite quickly and tasted ok, the... More

The person who pulls you off the street is charming but once you are seated the charm fades. The pizza was mushy so I ate only the outer crust. They weren't bothered that we didn't enjoy the food.

We were recommended by a man in the street but apparently it was a part of the trap. The owner was at the door and at first was very warm and welcoming. After we got inside he started to be very pushy and offering options without pricing the menu. We ordered differently from his suggestions and he started to criticize... More

True Italian family restaurant. In very nice, quiet place. Owner (i think he was owner) was charmig. Service was mediocre, but not bad. Wonderfull mussels, great local wine, very good pasta. Pizza looked very nice and was tasty but very little for the price. Of course like in most places in Italy you can't pay with card

Although the food was fine, we could not believe the sullen and miserable attitude to customers. Rushed service, not even a smile! The older waiter seemed to be interacting and quite charming, but the younger men have an awful lot to learn! How disappointing. I have never met a miserable Italian before, and as I am half. Italian, I am... More

Visited this restaurant 18 years ago when a gentleman met us on the main road in Amalfi and suggested this place. Found out later it was the owner! We were not disappointed then nor this time around. Stopped in for a light lunch and recounted the story from our past and had a laugh! If you like octopus this was... More
