We eat at this restaurant more than any other when we're in Amalfi, and for good reason. Year after year, Taverna di Masaniello delivers the simply prepared and delicious food and convivial, family-run atmosphere we have come to love. Pietro is an artist in the kitchen, turning simple, fresh ingredients into elegant and delicious presentations, and his brother Andrea is... More

Based on reviews here, we had dinner at this restaurant. We found the service to be good, but the food was a bit hit and miss. The first course of pasta was good, but the second courses of chicken marsala and grilled sea bass were disappointing. The dish of the day was the lemon cake dessert.

We stumbled across this place looking for somewhere to eat. There are two restaurants right next to each other who seem to compete for business and we went with this one; I'm SO happy we did! The owner is so passionate about his business and was so accommodating; even put wood pieces under our table to ensure it didn't wobble!... More

We stumbled across La Taverna di Masaniello purely by accident and were attracted both by the menu and the location. We enjoyed a great lunch with outstanding service. Although only a couple of tables were taken when we arrived at 12.30pm by the time we left the place was packed. Well worth a visit

You will pass this spot on your way up to the main piazza, do yourself a big favour and stop here. Everything "fatti in casa" and exceptional, especially the gnocchi. You will eat better and pay less than anywhere else in town. Just great!!

The food here is incredible. Fresh and locally sourced, nothing was too oily or burnt. We had such a tasty meal we went back the next night. The portions were great and the wine was delicious and cheap, local too. Lovely music playing, great artwork on the wall and owner was a wonderful man. Can not thank them enough for... More

Very friendly restaurant not far from the main square. The owner is a character and the food is straight forward good Italian fare. Prices are very good and this is one to try.

This food was AMAZING. We stumbled on this little place and so happy we did!! You can tell the owner works super hard, everyone was really friendly and the food was the best we had in Italy!! Wasn't cheap but wasn't super expensive either. Highly recommend!

This restaurant was appointed to us by locals and didn't disappointed at all. We enjoyed delicious seafood dishes in a very familiar and friendly environment with reasonable prices. The owner Andrea Dipino and his staff were superb. The homemade limoncello was particularity delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant! Don't miss this out on your stay in Amalfi. We are planning... More
