Brief but lovely experience at Romolo's where the lady assistant (the owner maybe?) helped us choose some local pastries, biscuits and cakes. Such a lovely experience - we walked away smiling. Thank you :)

This is our third trip to Salerno and a must stop for my honey and me is Pasticceria Romolo Bakery. This is not a restaurant with lots of tables and waiters, it’s just the best place to enjoy napolitan pastries such as sfogliate, baba', cannoli, and bigne' in Salerno This family operated business has been the king of Italian pastries... The place is quite big but does not serve any beverage. It s the tipical pasticceria which sells the best of napolitan pastries: sfogliate, baba', cannoli, bigne' gelati and also limoncello and other spirits.

Everything about this pasticceria looks promising. They have a wide range of goods. But only have two small tables to sit in and no bathrooms. We ordered the: - zappetta - ricotta cannoli Both just didn't taste right and we wouldn't recommend coming here. Maybe its because we have already been to Sicily!

I come here every time I am close to the train station of Salerno. This is a very old-fashioned pasticceria that "just" does pasticceria. You can order a tea or a coffee, but they will have it delivered from a bar nearby. These guys do what they can do well, and they really can do it wonderfully well. Their sfogliatelle,... More

Used to visit them as a soldier back in... 1988. They had good, simple, reasonably priced pastries then, and ice creams. They surely have more, fancier and even better looking ones now. We choose two evergreen favorites, sfogliatella and a cream and sour cherry pie we had tried back then. They are lighter, less greasy, better for our more mature... More

Walked in during a visit to Salerno. Pleasant visit. Pastries are fresh. Well-priced. Would enjoy going back on my return visit to Salerno.

We stopped here a few times on our vacation to try their pastries. OMG! What wonderful sweet delights await you! The sflogliatella was good and the almond cookies were the best I have ever tasted! The mini-babas were to die for! They have a great selection of anything you could desire.
