Very authentic food. Typical dishes which were used in the past by poor people. A different type of food that deserve to be visited.

it is opening at 19.30. pasta with beans was amazing! Prices are ok. It is generally chosen by locals. Waiters doesn't speak English but we understood each other. I tried stockfish, it was delicious too. But after pasta, it was too heavy I couldn't finish it.

Fabulous pizza in an unassuming setting - definitely a place to sit down with the locals for a simple meal.

Excellent representations of all of your Classic Mediterranean fare. Ambiance a 10! The road to arrive takes you through some of the most characteristic example as of an Italian Architecture imaginable. A must see.

This restaurant specialty is Rustic Southern Italian food like your Nonna would make. Interestingly they only serve one pasta dish (Pasta Fagioli) and it is made in the morning so when you get there at night they fill a metal dish with the pasta and reheat it in a wood fired oven. The result has a lot of flavour as... More

After a resounding referral from our B&B, we enlisted the support of a friendly local gentlemen who apparently knew the owner to find the restaurant. They opened slightly earlier for us and offered us a menu that was only interested in Italian. We selected a calzone with cheese, eggs, and sausage, and a separate plate of sausage over well prepared... More

The third time in Salerno and the third time at Vicolo della Neve. And the quality is still great. The typical Salernitano dishes are a must: an original way of making pasta e faggioli, ciambotta (vegetable dish), and stuffed peppers are outstanding! The place is small, so it's best to get there early , around 8:00 ish. Most arrive after... More

I live today in the US, but I grew up in Salerno. And, since I can remember, the "Vicolo della Neve" is the only restaurant in Salerno who consistently represented the local culinary traditions. If you decide to visit this small and often crowded restaurant, you must be aware that their selection of dishes is quite limited, but it represents... More

The ns. Local is a restaurant with typical cuisine of Salerno, all the dishes are prepared in the afternoon, and proposed the opening of the restaurant, around 19:00 pm, all heated in a wood oven in typical copper pans as they used to be. The ns. Local is not a restaurant with a la carte menu, so you will find only a few types of pizzas and dishes with products absolutely first choice, bought fresh every day, and cooked in excellent Italian extra virgin olive oil.
