We tried this place as we were staying across the road. Food wasn't that great but this was the most expensive meal had all week. Won't be returning

The lovely gentlemen who owned the place welcomed us warmly. We enjoyed an excellent two cheese Caprese salad, first course and second courses that were very reasonably priced and very delicious. This is a great neighborhood find!

This is what we were hoping for in Naples (other than the pizza, of course). The man that runs the place is a real charmer, he offered us a few specialties that were not on the menu, and recommended a brilliant bottle of wine. The antipasto was brilliant, a buffet of quality (not leftovers like some buffets look like). Quality... More

Very nice traditional Italian food in a great ambiance made by the owner Salvatore. He is very charming and tries to learn the guests how to dinner in Napels. The antipasta is offered in a buffet, you can make your own choose. The mozzarella was fresh and tasted very good. The wine of house had a very good taste and... More

We arrived in Napoli very hungry and went walking around the area we were staying to find food. We happened on Mattozzi Giardino and it looked inviting, so we went in. The waiters were very professional and looked like they have performed their profession for a long time. We started out with the antipasti bar with bread and wine, which... More

The antipasti was very good, the fettuccine ragu was average. The owner seemed like a nice chap and the house white was excellent. One wonders why the service charge was automatically added. This is a fairly big minus and I'm inclined to give 3 stars only for this strange anomaly. Presumptuous and unnecessary as I would've tipped anyway.

While waiting for the very average pizza across the street, we came in here for a snack to hold us over. The difference between the 2 restaurants could not be greater. Mattozzi is all about pride, care and getting it right, where as the pizza of Eat Pray Love fame, could be skipped. At Mattozzi we had the antipasti, it... More

I took a takeaway pizza margarita as many people were waiting outside for tables. The taste of the pizza was really good.

A lovely evening, Salvatore, the owner, a real gentleman. We had a fun evening, mozzarella, spaghetti bolognese and tiramisu, red wine. All to be recommended.
