We were 5 friends in Rome for the Marathon. We stayed in the lively Trastevere neighborhood. Osteria Pucci was not too far from our apartment, and has a nice terrace, so we decided to have dinner there. The waiter was not friendly at all, we felt that they rushed us so they could use our table for other customers -... More

It's located on the other side of the river in a residential area. We sat outside on a warm day. The service was slow getting to us but when it did, we had two servers trying to serve us. The place was nice but the pasta was under cooked. The flavor was good but if the pasta is not cooked,... More

Fantastic food, top service and next level bathrooms. Had the spaghetti alle vongole and the carbonara - both outstanding.

We had dinner here on a Saturday night about 7-7:30 pm. We were the only guests for the whole time. We saw the sign saying started in 1947 and with the location thought it would be locals visited restaurant. The food was okay, nothing to rave about. In hindsight we should have found a place that had more people and... More

Opened already 1947, located in the heart of the magical Trastevere district, American-style Plexiglas futuristic furnishing, however traditional Roman cuisine. Starting with tempting antipasti, salami, cheese, mezzemaniche alla carbonara, tonarelli, rigatoni alla zozzona, tripe, ossobuco, oxtail stews, fine desserts, phantastic wine list. pleasant Location, excellent servic.

Great choices of tasty local foods, with easy to understand (international) menus. Trendy decor which the restaurant seemed to be full of late 20's to late 30 year olds. Very welcoming and a Friendly service with a smile and handshakes/kiss to finish.

We visited the restaurant for lunch. it quickly turned out to be horrible experience. The worst we had in Rome. Here are a few facts: - the waiters were pushy and tried to force us to order full dinner when it was a lunch time and we wanted smth light - they were disorganised and asked whether we have ordered... Dined in with my Friend. Stumbled across Osteria, reasonable prices considering the area and excellent service. Tables/decor is average (our table cloth was stained) but other than that hygiene was good and staff were attentive.

Staying in Trastevere

Neighbourhood Profile
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
