We had visited La Pentolaccia on a previous trip and absolutely loved it. This time, we stopped early afternoon, about 2:40 p.m. The restaurant closed at 3:00 and I asked if we could have lunch. The host said, "yes" and we sat down at a...More

Service, ambience, etc were all wonderful. La Pentolaccia just needs to work on actually making good food. Thee bread was dry and not presented with any sort of butter or olive oil. The pasta, while not bad, didn't taste fresh and seemed frozen and then...More

Salamis for starters were really good, also one of the best Tiramisus ever. Tasty carbonara as well. All in all, food was nice. Not cheap, but not too expensive. Atmosphere was okay, but could be better.

Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and
Via Veneto neighbourhood earned its reputation as a
posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and
models while bored housewives hung out in streetside

five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law
firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to

Assuming that it is a real Italian meal and not just "pasta and pizza" around 40 euros per person including wine.

I believe it was about 10-14 euro for pasta course, with the meat course being a little higher. I felt it was reasonable for Rome, and it was the best place we ate.
