I was mildly disappointed with this restaurant though to be fair it was clear that people were enjoying themselves and perhaps I made the wrong choice of food. The caprese was very good, but the pollo romana consisted of scrag ends and was pretty tough. The upstairs room that you see from the street is very welcoming, but there are... More

Found this by searching online for places with good carbonara - the best my fiancée had in Rome ! Small so book! We didn't and we're lucky enough to get a seat mid afternoon Prompt, great food, good prices! Wish we could have gone back !

A good recommendation by a friend, who used to live a few years in Rome. Delicious food, you can watch the waiters finish the preparation of some of the dishes by themselves by stirring, mixing and adding seasoning. My pasta dish was a little bit too salty but fresh and good. The place is pretty crowded, tables are very close... More

We had wonderful service and fabulous authentic Italian food & experience. There was a server named Carmelo (same name as my fiancee) not sure if that was the reason but they kept bringing... More

My mother and I had an excellent lunch here, with great house wine and ended with a mouth-watering dessert. Excellent food, service and very reasonable prices.

You must eat here. It is fabulously authentic. The pasta dishes are to die for. All the Anitpasta dishes are delicious and fresh. Whenever we are in Rome we have to go to Hosteria Romana. It is a simple restaurant, white table clothes, very clean and authentic which serves great food. The service is good and the waiters know enough... More

You could easily bypass this place as from the outside it does not look much but what awaits inside is a true Roman experience, fantastic food, friendly service especially as we were a party of twelve. We let the restaurant chose a selection of starters which were excellent, house red and wine were excellent and main courses exceeded expectations. Finished... More

I ate the greatest pasta ever here. All other pasta is ruined for me. Order the Amatriciano for life changing pasta.

Staying in Trevi

Neighbourhood Profile
A non-stop photo and souvenir opportunity, Trevi is all about action. From early morning through the wee hours, the piazza surrounding Trevi Fountain hosts a never-ending flow of tourists hoping to make a wish or take a selfie. Clever restaurants, charming gelaterias, uncanny bars, kitsch shops, and a range of hotels make up the local landscape. Beneath the bustle are the remains of an ancient neighbourhood that you can visit by heading over to a repertoire cinema and asking for a peek underground. There is something for everyone, but if peace and quiet are what you seek, plan to visit in the early morning hours.
