Most notable was the absence of Americans and tourists. It was a bit awkward when we arrived without a reservation...the front desk is buried deep within the restaurant so you have to just walk in and ask for a place to sit. The fifteen minute...More

Seeing the previous review, this was going to be our subject line as well! Visited twice during our four nights in Rome loving the homemade funghi pasta that we had to return to have it again. The mushrooms are plump, flavorful and pasta the best...More

This was an exceptional place to visit. The atmosphere was lively, the waiters very friendly with a wicked sense of humor and the food was perfection. My particular favorite was the preparation of the grilled fish; perfectly cooked. Don't leave without having tried the Torta...More

We were two couples vacationing in Rome for a week and determined to try all the restaurants that we could. We ended up eating here twice. It was that good.

Visited for dinner due to favorable reviews & proximity to hotel. First warning sign: Large tour group & a roaming guitar player singing American pop songs & Sinatra. Service was very good. For primi, had Bucatini alla'matriciana: a bland red sauce with fatty chewy strips...More

We found this place via TA and were so pleased we tried it. Good food and wine and service is superb. Lasagna was a stand out - I wanted to have it for sweets as well!!

I was here with a group and there was another group sharing the lower space of large tables. Between the two groups, there were about 50 people. It was physically painful. Honestly, really, awfully loud. Recommend to management that you consider some sound insulation/baffling. If...More

What an amazing dinner we had here! We had the house wine which was very good, the ravioli and the rosemary lamb. Everything was superb and cooked perfectly. The prices are very fair and the portions are generous. The entire staff was so kind and...More

I went here with my boyfriend and from the moment we entered I thought I was at home. There was a fellow playing the acoustic guitar and it felt like I was truly in Italy. The food came out so fast (pic included below) and...More

Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos,

I think this is the restaurant we went to a couple of years ago. They had a fabulous antipasto where they brought baskets of meats, cheeses and such to the table for you to help yourself. does any one know if this is the right place. It was in the area of della Purificazione because we walked from the hotel to there. Thanks for any help!
