Our wonderful Frattina hotelier suggested this restaurant and it was all we could have asked for in terms of ambience, food and wine. I had the swordfish with capers and tomato source, super delish, with artichoke Roma style, steamed so you eat all of it and don't have to tooth the meat off, a chocolate and pistachio crepe and the... We didn't have any reservation, but they welcomed us anyway despite the restaurant was fully booked. The pasta was fantastic and also the shrimps. The service was absolutely stunning. You really felt welcomed.

Ate at this highly rated restaurant last week and we were disappointed. I ordered starter, main and dessert and thought all three were poor. The pasta was far too peppery. The saltimbocca a la Romana had no sauce as such but a bit of the oil it was cooked in came with it. This had an off taste. My wife... More

The restaurant was beautiful and service staff was very nice. However, the food was pretty mediocre. They use good ingredients but it seemed like dishes were thrown together without much care. That's was evident in the presentation as well as flavor. Glad we tried it but won't be back.

Found this gem on TripAdvisor and despite the reviews saying to book, we tried our luck. We arrived just before 8 and they managed to sit us down. We were lucky as the place filled quickly. The place holds maybe 50, it's not that big and the seats are close together. No problem. A great menu, the buffalo mozzarella is... More

I've literally just ate there, they were fully booked but managed to accommodate us with a slightly shorter table time. I had the spaghetti with tomato and garlic along with the veal and roast potatoes my partner had the sea bream. The food was delicious with a lovely setting underground. The waiter we had was very helpful and attentive.

Great atmosphere, romantic, high quality food and wonderful flavours! The person who served us had knowledge of wines and made the best reccomendations. Both main and dessert food was superb. Definately worth to have a dinner at Ill Gabriello!

Thank Marios G
