We had a wonderful dinner in this tradional family style restaurant. The menu was too big but Andrea our waiter guided us to a wonderful selection. We selected the steak. And what a great choice that was. Perfectly cooked and accompanied with a nice Lambrusco. Their hazelnut tiramisu was the topping on the cake. We concluded with a nice grappa... More

Having followed the reviews we'll share our experience. Well chilled and sober we entered a nice establishment and engaged in a nice meal experience. Scallops followed by an excellent steak and gnocchi and good deserts. Two nice staff and one with a chip on his shoulder. Couldn't be bothered to even bring milk for the coffee despite asking politely. Someone... More

I ate dinner here my first night in Rome, and after a month here it’s still one of the better meals I’ve had. The eggplant rolatini was a good sized appetizer, and really tasty. Then a delightful risotto, an unusual combination of mushrooms, apple & pinenuts. It’s down the street from the Colosseum, a bit further than the immediate choices.... More

Back last May we stumbled across thus restaurant and had a lovely meal here. So in my return trip I though I would venture back. To be honest it was a little disappointed compared to last time. Although the food was good the service bordered on being poor. A shame as should it have been better I would have had... More

One of the worst restaurant experiences I've ever had. I arrived with my partner at 20:00 and till the main course there wasn't too many people and it was OK, the food wasn't anything out of the world but not bad neither. Once people arrived they totally ignored us. I needed to call the waitress 2 times for the dessert... More

We had a really good meal, starting with ravioli with cheese. It was very good. The Venus Rice with mixed seafood was black rice and lots of seafood and my wife said it was excellent. I had a great fillet steak, really tender and tasty. Eventually we had dessert and both the Catalan Creme and Tiramisu were very good. The... More

As a Roman I can say with confidence that this is one of the best restaurant in Rome for quality/price: simple, authentic Italian food, great service and cozy space...all you need for an amazing dinner close to Colosseo.

This is a great restaurant in a great location near the Colosseum, but far away enough not to be a tourist restaurant. Service is very professional and efficient. The waiter was very knowledgable and recommended dishes from the daily specials. You will be offered bread at the start of the meal and this is charged to your bill. I have... More

The restaurant is located between Colosseo and basilica San Giovanni in Laterano. The old building creates a nice Roman atmosphere. The staff was really nice, which is not so obvious in Rome and suggested the best meals. I recommend the menu of the day, which is warranty for a good and fresh meal. The restaurant is visited mostly by italians.

Thank Pawel T

Sidoro is very famous for its "taste" of pasta, a tasting pasta dishes selected by the chef. So you can enjoy, in addition to classic early Romans as bucatini or spaghetti alla Carbonara Amatriciana, our classics of all time and our news accompanied by fine wines. 3 The daily arrivals of fresh fish, meat of first quality and excellent desserts made by our pastry chefs greatly enrich the proposal of our local.
