Visited multiple cities in Italy and I would say, Ciampini has the most delicious gelato in Italy! their pizza and the ravioli were amazing too. The restaurant is located centrally so it is walkable from Trevi, Spanish steps, 15-20mins walk away from Colosseum. Me & my husband made multiple visits to this restaurants for their fab gelato! Totally worth indulging.... More

We were walking around and just found this place with tables outside in the sun, with umbrellas too. And fancied a drink, they were very attentive and gave us a free plate of nibbles, drinks a bit pricey, but lovely spot for a break.

We had an apperitivo with friends and they mistakenly (I hope) charged us twice for wine. When we brought it up the following day they didn't consider refunding, instead were pretty rude implying that we were not telling the truth. Ok fine I can see that it could be a possibility just no need to make us feel bad because... More

The chestnut flavored gelato was great , the pistachio flavor was average. I thought the portions were smaller and I feel the gelato at Giolitti tasted better for me. Still not a bad place.

We were so glad to stumble across this place...had the most delicious pizza (aubergine and salted ricotta) and the caprese salad was good too. Perfect place in the centre for a relaxed snack or dinner - service is great and not pushy at all like other tourist traps in the centre.

Passing by, saw that the place served some locals which is always a good sign. The starters were good, the pizza not so much, it lacked some flavor. Service was quite ok for such a touristic area.

Tasty meal. Had a pasta and pizza and it was exactly the right portion. Didn't make you feel sick after. Waiter spoke good English. Located right in the shopping district . Would recommend to friends.

We saw a bunch of men in suits waiting in line to get Gelato while walking from the Spanish Steps, so we decided to stop. Their dark chocolate gelato was the best we had in Rome!

Staying in Colonna

Neighbourhood Profile
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very centre of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping centre, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
