This place is a little odd - it doesn't open until 8, and you have to become a 'member' (which is free of charge). It's very small and service is friendly but slow since there's only one guy in the kitchen; I think it's more like a bar than a restaurant. The food is good but not particularly special. There... The restaurant does not open until 8 and did not fill up until 9. The service was slow but the waitress was helpful. The moussaka was outstanding. The appetizer with items, including stuffed grape leaves, cucumber salad, large beans with a tomato sauce, a meatball dish, etc. was outstanding. This was the best Greek food that I have had in... Staying in Trastevere

Neighbourhood Profile
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
