If youve had Alfredo Pasta elsewhere in the world, please note that this ristorante is the birthplace. Its very rich in history and displays all the famous people that have had the pasta on the spot. The server will present and mix your pasta in front of your table, you might want to take video of it as they like to do... More

Came across this restaurant by chance as the one we wanted to go to was always fully booked. Have to say that we were so pleased to find this place polite helpful staff, he even brought out some starters for us that we did not order. The main course was huge as well. We were all really pleased we found... More

Something we came across near to our hotel. Great food and service. Amazing value for money. Nothing pretentious, just great food and wine.

Very relaxed restaurant with some great pasta and really good house wine. Nothing pretentious about this place or the people. Just a down to earth good quality place to eat which is real value for money.

I've had a lot of pasta, but the vongole & spaghetti at Alfedo's was something special. The sauce couldn't have been better if my wife made it! Bread was very good as well! Be advised, however, this is a very popular place with American business people so you might get leveraged between several large ( 6 or more ) parties... More

Do not leave Rome without having a fettucini Alfredo. Pasta, made in front of you! Wonderfull taste and wonderfull show, with a sence for a detail. Ladies got a special treat, golden spoon and fork. No need to order anything else. Fettucini and red wine, that´s it. The only question is a bottle or a glass ;)?

Reservations were surprisingly easy, we even got a 25% discount for a special through Trip Advisor, even more of a bonus! Service was good. The fettuccini was delicious as we had hoped. The gnocchi was disappointing. It was fun to purchase some boxes of dried fettuccini to bring home, family at home appreciated that.

I had my first meal in Italy here. Margherita pizza, Red wine and a some limoncello to finish off with. I really enjoyed the meal and the atmosphere.

Ristorante Alfredo Roma is quite simply the epitome of Roman dining. A cosy, unimposing restaurant in the centre of town with a warm and welcoming atmosphere greets you as you step in from the bustling Via Principe Amedeo. Inside a barely signposted red painted building, only found by a long awning covering street side tables, is a stone arched room surrounded by classical style sepia murals. A large, well stocked bar catches your eye as you enter, tempting you with a pre-dinner drink before moving on to the menu, a traditional Italian delight. Lasagne and bruschetta, so typical, is matched only by the staff for true Italian personality.

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
