We thought we would try this little restaurant, but while not bad, just average. The wait staff was nice, but never got coffee at the end of the meal. The cost was reasonable. But would not stop again.

Staff very pleasant but food less so. Pasta was 'luke warm'. Sea bass 'swimming' in oil. Chickory offered as side vegetable

This was very close to our hotel and we ate there for 4 meals. No hard sell, just a friendly little place with excellent prices. Do try this lovely trattoria for nicely cooked local food.

Very good value for money. The food was ok and the drinks very cheap. Nothing fancy at all. Simple but tasty.

Came here twice. Looking for some where cheap, tasty and close to the hotel. On both occasions the food was good and the price super low. On the first occasion I had the parma ham and melon. I got three wedges of melon and a whole heap of ham. Excellent quality ingredients and plenty of them. Partner had a big... More

We were expecting a true good local cuisine, nothing fancy but still..... our pasta were not fresh, tasteless, did not feel any spice in the Arrabiata sauce..... Cannot really complain because it was very cheap, but still.... staff was very nice though, the only positive thing!

This was our first visit to the restaurant, for a first experience the food was good when they finally brought us the correct order. It is a nice peaceful atmosphere at the restaurant, the only thing I can advise on is to perhaps sit inside if you would not want to be bothered by the guys on the street trying... More

Found this restaurant with a group of friends while waiting for a train. Gorgeous fresh food and quick and friendly staff, couldn't have been more helpful. Had lunch here and while sort of café style layout a most enjoyable and excellent time had by all.

It was the end of a busy working day, I had a couple of hours to kill before catching a train from Termini, I was starving hungry, and this was the first halfway-decent-looking place I came to near the station. My expectations were not high: plastic multilingual menus with pictures of the food usually scream "tourist trap"! And yet, and... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
