Very small eating establishment. They have about eight 2-person tables so the wait outside can be quite long. If you decide to wait, they will give you a menu while waiting so that you can decide what you want. Once inside, your food will arrive shortly there after. If you decide not to wait, they do have take-out. The food is VERY tasty. We ended up waiting for a little over an hour. The food was well worth the wait.

We arrived at 6pm on a Saturday and had to wait only 5 minutes for a table. We had artichoke, meatballs, lasagne, and fettuccini with sausage and mushrooms. Every meal was absolutely delicious, easily amongst the best food we have had in Italy in our month here. As a line was growing at the door we left quickly after eating to be polite. A great place for a quick, delicious meal. The hostess was particularly gracious and charming without being over the top.

This was the best food we ate in Rome. Well worth the wait. The service and food was top notch. We had the carbonara and the lasagne and absolutely loved it. Couldn’t recommend this any higher.

Amazzzzing food. It’s a cute little spot by the Vatican. I had a hard time finding the entrance but glad I didn’t give up. The service was great. I wish we could’ve gone 1 more time before we left .

Superb! Best pasta we had in Rome. We waited about half an hour to get a table, but it was worth it for sure!! Love it! When in Rome, don't miss this place.

The aubergin with cheese and meatballs were perfect. I can not stop eating. The pasta with salmon and cheese was also great as my husband told

This is a fairly small restaurant, probably around 10 tables in total - they don't seem to accept bookings either so either get there early or expect to queue. We arrived early to beat the queue but when we left, there were easily three or four tables waiting. We ordered a little too much for three people, two pasta, one lasagna, another tagliatelle along with some roast vegetables - unless you are very hungry, a pasta each is more than enough. The lasagna was the best we had in Rome, the tagliatelle was also not bad. The vegetables left no impression. The waitresses were very attentive throughout.

Well worth waiting in the queue. It’s a tiny eatery with the most exquisite artisanal pasta we have tasted in Rome till now. The host, Ludovica, is awesome, such a lovely character! We tasted the Roman carciofo (artichoke) and a beef carpaccio but the star of the meal was the carbonara. I would queue anytime to taste it again (and I am not the biggest fan of pasta) For dessert we had classic Tiramisu and pistachio tiramisu. Not my favorite but good nonetheless. As for wine we chose Cesanese, a good red wine. I would recommend Borghiciana any time without hesitation!

Extremely restricted dining room. It was like eating in a closet, sitting on a perch, being pushed from all sides. Food was boring, non remarkable, very ordinary. Drinks are overpriced. Also they played music uncomfortably loud! And no table service

We were so disappointed at the carbonara. It was too oily and wasn’t that great. The small high table and the chairs were uncomfortable. The entrance door got stuck every time, the staff had to help opening and closing the door. The reviews were so good so our expectation was high so totally disappointed at the experience at the last night dinner at Rome. Just got tourist, no Italian people were in the restaurant.

we came across this restaurant by accident, since the gelato across the street was recommended to us. according to google, it should open by 9 am, but the owner told us it's a mistake, and we should wait until ~11. we came back, and to our surprise, and line had already started to form. excited, we went to our seats and ordered antipasti and a couple pastas (pomodoro and cacio pepe). probably because we ordered a starter, we got our pastas much after others which had ordered after us, and we returned the cacio pepe, since the cheese felt off. i asked the owner for a different recommendation, and he started arguing that there's no such thing as a popular dish, and each person's taste is different. the atmosphere was also quite annoying - the music was loud, people were seated densely, and the lighting was dim.

The restaurant can only fit about 12 people or so, there’s a big line in the street, they start taking your order while you’re waiting. So basically you get seated, you eat, and you leave, food was very very good though

This is the second time we've been to Borghiciana. In fact, we flew to Rome for one day just to eat here. We're obsessed with this pasta and we've tried loads in Rome. You can not fault it. It's incredible. I literally am lost for words. Forget the other reviews where people are saying they're only nice to the locals - it's complete lies. They were incredible with us. The service is super fast and the cacio and carbonora are insanely good. This is the best pasta in Rome and you must come and visit. The gentlemen running the show is so nice and even gave us some pasta to take away back to London (fresh pasta!). The girls who are serving are so polite, and help you pick out wine too with your meal. They really are the best. It's such a cute little spot too that really makes you feel like you're in an authentic Rome food spot. Perfect for getting food just before visiting St. Peter's Basilica or coming after. They're a small spot (and they should stay small because it makes the perfect ambience!), so be prepared to wait around 15-30 mins. But its WORTH it. Trust me. The portion sizes are great, but I loved it so much I got an extra Cacio ;)

Food is good, like the lasagna and the tiramisu. One thing that ruined my customer experience was my group was treated differently from the local customers. Understand we had a group of 8, and the place is small, we appreciated the boss explained to us that he might not be able to accommodate a big group at the same time. We totally understand hence we are good to separate tables and even eat in different time, we will accommodate to whats best for the boss. But he insisted us to eat at another restaurant that can fit bigger groups which confused me because we are definitely ok to eat separately, he can take us as normal group customers of 2 pax. He shown faces to us and even the waitress sighed when she took the menu to us. Definitely not friendly as compared to treating local customers. I definitely felt a sense of discrimination of asians here. Food is good, just eat at your own risk.

Vatican / Borgo
Frocked priests, colorful Swiss Guards, insistent souvenir shop owners, flag-waving tour guides, and pilgrims from around the world. This is the Vatican and Borgo, Rome's most recognized neighbourhood which acts as Vatican City's front yard. Aside from the souvenir boutiques and a few food spots, the only business conducted here is papal. In the daytime, the tiny medieval sector bustles with holy activity, as visitors vie for elbow room, or stand in line for a visit. Once the sun sets, the neighbourhood is transformed into a quiet and picturesque hamlet.
