I have called the restaurant to ask if there was a table available in the evening and a nice guy picked up the phone and told me that there will be a table available for 4 people at around 9:30pm. We arrived at that moment and got a table almost directly (they just had to clean up the table). The... More

My niece lives in Rome or we would never have found this restaurant. Nice friendly atmosphere with lots of locals in restaurant which was mobbed on a Thursday evening. The pizza is great, the owners and staff very friendly and welcoming. Would recommend.

I entered the place with a friend today (January 20th) at 20:15. There were a few tables with people, maybe 20% of the places were occupied. I ask for a table for two and the manager told the servant to take us to a balcony, and that it were the only places available (she spoke to me in English, but... More

Hi Rui, You're right when you say that 20% of the seats were occupied, but you don't know that the other 75% was RESERVED. So, the only place free was the COUNTER, not the balcony as you said (do you know the meaning of balcony? I do think so...). You do not really liked it, right? So you have missed... More

We spent a week in Rome over Christmas. Al Grottino was recommended to us and we went there the first evening of our stay -- and ended up going back twice more. The pizza is absolutely fantastic, the owners and staff very friendly and welcoming, the atmosphere had a nice local buzz of families and friends. Highly recommended.

Very good location. Delicious food and excellent staff. Glad right here celebrating his birthday. I will definitely visit it again.

Long story short - the service from the Maitre D' is shocking. We ordered a pasta dish and a pizza for our main. Pretty simple, right? Well, no. My pizza arrived... we waited for 9 minutes (yes, I timed it) and no pasta appeared. Just for context, we were sat outside. Can you imagine what happens to a 'hot' pizza... More

The Italians seem to eat later. Restaurant was empty at 19:30. Was busy when we left. Pizza was really good. Wine was 8 euros a litre. Appears to be busy with locals. Huge choice of pizza.

The lime pie was awesome, pizza delicious and service friendly. Enjoyed dinner outside. Happy ambiance. Worth the wait...opened at 7:30 and was busy.

The food is really really good. But the service is not the best. Actually I would consider it lacking altogether. A lot of 'experimental' pizzas and all really good - but then in Italy they usually are good. Would give the food 4 but the service only 2 (and that is being nice). Overall that gives 3. Must say that... More

It was totally worth waiting a few minutes. We had a very nice and funny waiter and got delicous food and wine for a totally fair price. Would definetly go there again 😊
