Exhausted by the morning sightseeing and hungry for lunch, we found the restaurant by chance. Patrons inside looked "local", not the usual tourists and we gave it a chance, not really knowing what to expect. It was however obvious that it specialised in seafood, but the menu offered a wide selection of traditional Roman dishes as well. The service was... More

This to me is a special occasion sort of place as opposed to the local trattoria or osteria which are abundant in Rome. We were not disappointed in our return here, I had the most delicious slow roast pork with roast potatoes and the rest of our party of 6 were not disappointed. A little pricey but worth it it... Everything portended to lead to an extremely positive experience at this restaurant. The house red wine (Montepulciano d' Abruzzo) was fantastic, the carcofi alla romana we delectable and the waitstaff was friendly. The restaurant was toasty warm (it was a cold winter evening) and while we live in Rome, many guests were Italian...a good sign. My wife and I ordered... More

the place was typical Italian and cosy but the food was disappointed. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant. Fortunately the wine was fine.

If you are looking for a place where to eat cheap, look elsewhere, food is decent though and so is the service I guess. Location is cozy.

This is where our local friends brought us. We had so many delicious things. The focaccia is amazing, the black footed ham is great, great wine selection, amazing desserts. Wonderful fish and vegetables. My kids devoured the lamb. Would highly recommend.

Large restaurant with a loyal client base. Excellent selection of fresh fish. The fillet steak was perfect although the spinach was lukewarm and not very interesting. Efficient and friendly service.

Da Settimio's has been around and providing reliably good food and service for years. Their menu is a nice mix of tried and true Italian favorites (carciofi alla romana and giudea, for example), and some of their own creations, grounded in traditional dishes but with a twist. Our server was a model of friendly professionalism. The restaurant is tucked away... More

I can't say enough, this was my best meal in Rome. Not the usual salami and cheese. Not only was my meal great, I wanted to eat what was sent to every other table. It also inspired me to cook a few new meals myself. Bellisimo!
