We decided to eat here as it was near to our hotel - it was really great! The staff were so warm and helpful - it had a happy and busy feel. Both the food and the price were great too! Not stuffy or pretentious - deserts were gorgeous too!

Thoroughly enjoyed our evening here. Is our first night in Rome and after a very long nap wanted some authentic cusine. We googled restaurants around us and this was one of the options. Our hotel staff suggested here. We had an amzing cheese starter which was basically a slice of cheese grilled with honey on top... to die for! We... More

Arrabbiata was not what I expected... very cheesey and salty (alfredo??) Probably a mix up. Scallopine was good. And specials sounded good. Probably should have tried their lasagna. Dessert was cream filled beignet w a shot of limoncello for dessert. Friendly owner and staff. Young waitress was little rushed but seemed like a good family restaurant.

I was told about this restaurant by a friend who had lived in Rome. It it a true neighbourhood restaurant, consisting of two distinct rooms and cuisines: one for meat and the other for fish/seafood. We visited the meat section, and were not disappointed: very helpful and welcoming servers, fantastic food - great ingredients, simply prepared, and served with a... More

I felt like family right away. Wait till you see the giant pastrami being thinly sliced right beside you. Tried soup, steak and the " special" lasagna. Best I ever tasted. Don't miss the tiramisu. It's to die for.

We arrived from the airport to the hotel and were really hungry, and the hotel staff recommended the Brancaleone a short walk down the road. Not only that the kitchen was still open at 1 AM, but the pizza was very good and the staff very service minded. Also the atmosphere is very nice. Highly recommended!

Don't know if I expect too much from the pizzerias in Italy but here we had one of better pizzas in Rome. In general, I was disappointed - in Czech republic I think we have much better pizza.

This was our 2nd visit here. Staying at a local hotel and they recommended this place our first night. The meal was good, and ambience was great. Came back again and had a fantastic Grilled Pork dish. Service, ambience, music, and food was amazing. It can get busy on weekends so plan ahead.

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighbourhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighbourhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighbourhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 20:00.
