If you are not the type of person that needs all the glitters of fashionable locations here you will find a very good traditional local cuisine made as it should. The portions are generous, and the staff friendly and efficient. I loved the bucatini cacio e pepe, and the pig with artichoke was quite good. I also appreciated the chocolate... More

The fact that this is off the beaten tourist path , has absolutely no frills whatsoever , is full of locals and is very reasonably priced means that its hard not to like it. The menu is limited but there is enough choice to satisfy most tastes. Pasta was clearly homemade/fresh ...I had chicken livers but if I went again... More

We stopped in here on our first night in Rome, as it was recommended by a teacher of Italian that I follow online, the wonderful Lucrezia Oddone. What a great experience we had. We were seated at a table close to the kitchen and bar. The family that owns and runs it were having their own dinner in a table... More

The antipasta did indeed include mashed potato but it was warm and delicious. The main course portions were generous, well cooked and tasty, though the gravy/sauce was the same for the beef as for the pork. The artichoke hearts with the pork were plentiful and very well cooked. House wine (red) very reasonably priced and good. Tiramisu was rich and... More

Authentic Roman cuisine... incredibly moderately priced. Staff are dealing with a busy dining room but are incredibly attentive, hospitable and don't rush you. Probably one of the only place in Rome we went where there were more Italians than tourists. Portions were sizable, inexpensive, and deliciously prepared. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a nice dinner out of the main... More

This is a real trattoria and so there were native Romans as well as another tourist family in the restaurant. It was devilishly hard to find even though it was close to our apartment. The food was decent. Maybe I just don't like traditional Roman food. But the cherry tart for dessert was life-changing. We didn't know that you don't... More

We walked past Lilli on our way to the Spanish Steps, where we found our original restaurant choice closed, so we came back. It is located below street level in what seems to be a quiet courtyard. I would call this inexpensive but very good food. Small world, as it turned out we know some of their family in Brooklyn!... More

Four different pasta dishes were loved by each of our family. Nothing fancy, but well priced, high quality and thoroughly enjoyed.

Great local restaurant a short walk from the Piazza Navona. The 3 times I've been here it's been mostly locals, always a good sign. Try the tripe, you'll love it. Enjoy!
