Excellent Roman cuisine The venue does not look much from the outside, but the interior is both 19th century stylish and cozy. Despite the restaurant’s name the menu is thoroughly Roman, containing most of the well-known Roman dishes, but also with several fish dishes. We’ve been here many times over the years and the food has always been excellent, whether... More

We came to this restaurant because we all like seafood. It took about 15 mins walking from Rome Termini Railway Station where we were staying. The restaurant was quite bright with good decoration, medium-sized, the food was good, especially its seafood with reasonable price. The service was ok but surprising was when we asked for tap water, whilst we ordered... More

We booked this place for Christmas Day lunch. I had a lobster linguini dish that was amazing. The sauce was light and paired well with the lobster. Great selection of wine. We liked it so much that we returned for dinner a few days later. This time I opted for a caprese salad and beef. It was excellent. Would go... More

We were so happy with this restaurant that we went back 2 days later. The Vongole was especially delicious, as were the salads! The staff were super friendly and even recognized us when we came back.

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
