Grilled fisch was very dry. After returning the fish I got a new one?? I don't know was it a new one or not because i've got now instead of a grilled fish two filets but again very dry. The waiter teached me a lesson and explained why a grilled fish must be dry. At home when I grill fish... More

Here I feel at home and the staff recognize me when I come, though it is long between visits. They call us "the Swedish mafia" Excellent food and exciting flavors. Have now tried to recreate some of the dishes at home

Rather small reteraunt and subsequently you feel a little penned in. We were say by what I can only think of was the glass store cupboard as the waiters were constantly putting clean glasses away and then taking away clean glasses as the re-set tables. The food was very nice as was the wine but I have to say it... More

Wonderful family run restaurant. Important to book, we were lucky first evening getting there about 6.30, however after that if no booking were turning people away. Food fantastic and excellent cheerful service. Very near Hotel Morgana who recommended it to us.

After more than two weeks of travelling, it was our last night in Italy before starting the long journey home. Having looked at Trip Advisor, we realized this highly rated restaurant was not far from our hotel, and luckily we were able to get a reservation. It was a nice way to end our stay. The food was delicious, with... More

We had eaten pasta and pizzas for a couple of days and just fancied something different. This place was recommended by our hotel and was just 1 minute walk away. Food was delicious. We went for the beef fillet's cooked in pepper sauce with fresh vegetables an a nice bottle of Italian wine. It was a little pricey but to... More

Recommend by our hotel we were welcomed into the small local restaurant. Staff were really helpful with suggestions from the menu. All food was delicious but we particularly loved our anti pasta starter. Excellent value local house wine too. Would definitely recommend and be sure to book, gets busy.

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
