The service was fantastic but the food was just okay. As one reviewer stated, the servers were mostly of Asian descent and were very charismatic and attentive even though it was a full house. They went above and beyond to celebrate my family member's birthday....I want to say the food was subpar but it's really because there are so many delicious places to eat in Rome that this pales in comparison. If you're looking for a lively spot that takes walk-in big groups and you're not looking for the best food you've ever had in Rome, try this spot.More

Poor food, deceptive management

Neighborhood place that always looked busy so decided to try it. The waiters were excellent (mostly Asian) who were hardworking and hustling to help a restaurant full of customers. The atmosphere was nice too. The bad….food is BELOW AVERAGE even by my unrefined palate. We...got a pasta amatricana…waaaay too salty where we almost wanted to send it back. We also got three pizzas including margherita, diavola…the pizzas were paper thin….literally like flatbread in the US. Impossible to even pick up properly. The sauce and toppings were very average and looked store bought versus home made. The worst….Copretto or service tax is illegal in Rome but not in this restaurant apparently! 2 euros per person. Also the menu mentions it’ll be waived if your bill exceeds 20 euros. When we noticed it on our bill, asked the manager and he tried to quickly make up a story that it’s 20 euros per person not the table. That’s not what the menu says. Crooked and unethical! Throughout our trip in Italy, we always met kind, charming and helpful people except this restaurant manager, who’s probably the worst person we met in 2 weeks! Stay away from this place - both for terrible food and deceptive behavior of managementMore

Small portion and bad service

Food and services was decent, but way to small portions. I got my lasagna last and it was half the size as the rest of the groups dices. I told the waitress and asked for more, after 10 min he came back with the exact...same plate but much colder. Would not come back after the way he handled it.More

What a great place.

We queued a little to get in, a few minutes only. We were quickly sat down and the staff were amazing: friendly and very knowledgeable. Pizza was amazing, the saute of clams and mussels amazing and the scallopine was excellent. We finished sharing a tirimisu...which was just enough and tasted great, The negroni and local red were both lovely. Will be back before we go home in the next week! Great experience!More

Must try - fantastic pizza and vibes!

Our first night and hotel made a late reservation for us (10pm) - the place was buzzing but our table was ready and the pizza was the best we have had throughout our stay in Rome. Great friendly service, clearly a place for locals as...well as visitors.More

Not much to look at on the outside but….

Absolutely amazing food! Best lasagna I have ever tasted. Atmosphere is spot on too. The deserts are way up there too 10/10!

MUST GO TO

I NEVER write reviews but I had to for this restaurant. Saw it had 4.4 rating on Google and 4 on TripAdvisor and had to write a review. This place is seriously underrated, I had the Filetto di manzo al gorgonzola and it was the...best steak i’ve had in Italy. I’ve been to Venice, Milan, and Verona and this is the best. Both of the servers Manuel, were the best servers we’ve had in five cities. Go here!!!!More

Inconsistent

We visit Rome often and this has always been our “go to” restaurant. We had a meal there a couple of nights ago and had fantastic service and excellent food. Tonight we took friends and had the most rude waiter, food that turned up at...different times and mostly cold. We will more than likely go back but only if the waiters are friendly on arrival, will we stay and eat.More

Great first meal in Rome

Excellent first meal in Rome. Al Tetterello was recommended by our air bnb host and didn’t disappoint. We are outside and the atmosphere was nice. Looked great inside too. Great food, good value, awesome ambience

Went here for an early dinner and therefore was quickly seated. The pizzas were excellent, great wine, and the value was great. Highly recommended. It was super busy by the time we left.

Best Italian restaurant we tried so far

Didn’t get in

We were a family of 5. We stood in the queue for 15 minutes. Once we were at the front of the queue they ignored us and took couples behind us. After another 30 min we left. Seems they only want small tables. Very disappointed.

Always great meal experiences!

In my visit to Rome, we went three time to the trattoria il’ Tetorello due the great food and services, at Monti. Our waitress was May and always came with delicious recommendations and the attention of the owner was the best of the best. We...had Filleto “filet”, various pasta plates, pizza and mix salad, plus lemon pie or blueberry Panacota…. Everything was great!! Good prices$ and is an authentic local Italian/trattoria restaurant.More
