Pleasant rustic old place not far from the Spanish Steps. Rather tired 1950's decoration but the pasta is good and the prices very low. Service is jaded - too many tourists? Good for a quick lunch

Trattoria da Giggi has been around for a long time. It looks that way too, The interior is a bit tired and very dated. That's no problem if the food is good. The restaurant was full then we got there at lunchtime. many guests looked Italian, so we were confident that this was going to be good. Between 4 of... More

The best part of this restaurant was our waiter! Food was good, not fantastic, but service and atmosphere were great. The waiter had to cut up my artichoke for me as I didn't seem to know how to eat it! Very kind of him!

We went here for lunch. We sat inside because there was no place outside which would have been better. Had arabiatta penne and it was good for the price.

Food/service is average. The puttanesca sauce lacked any trace of anchovies and only contained 6 olives and a few capers. Prices are reasonable, but food cuts corners. When we asked the waiter for oil, salt and pepper for the bread, it never arrived. The table next to us received Parmesan cheese. The gnocchi were very good, especially with the four... More

Visited on a rainy night early October 2016 with my family after a long days tour of Pompeii. We were exhausted and just wanted a good portion of food and good wine. We were immediately given a table and brought bread and a liter of house wine which was exactly what we wanted. After looking over the large menu which... More

We travelled to Rome for a couple of days whilst staying in Sorrento, and had walked to see the Trevi fountain one evening. As we were walking around a nearby piazza we came across this restaurant. The location is superb, and the food is exceptional. A splendid end to a fabulous day.

Nothing to write home about but worth it. The place is centrally located yet is not boastful about it. Some of the offers are good value for money

Neighbourhood Profile
Campo Marzio

Gorgeous Renaissance and Baroque palazzos line the streets, and are filled with enticing boutiques and food shops. By day, Rome’s best-dressed denizens criss-cross its streets in a fashionable parade of errands, occasionally pausing to look fabulous in gorgeous piazzas like San Lorenzo in Lucina. Campo Marzio can be a bit of a sleeper after aperitivi hour (21:00), so visit by day and experience the pulse of daytime Rome.
