This place doesn't exist anymore. A month ago they changed ownership. Is still pizza. The new name is da simo. I haven't tried the other one so I can't compare but this new place is very very good and very friendly and nice staff.

It was the best meal we had in Italy. Crunchy, thin and delicious pizza and pasta con tartuffo to die for!

On our last night in Rome, we were advised to go and visit the restaurant "Da Baffetta". Unfortunately this was closed for cleaning. The owner was outside and he advised us to go to a restaurant just 100 meters away. We were a little skeptical, but went anyway. We waited for about 3 minutes in the queue and we were... More

Good service with friendly staff, antipasto was fresh, pasta is cooked al'dente which is more appetising.

A family restaurant, tucked in a side street. Go there for the thin Roman pizza - they've been making it for 30 years - but not for the atmosphere. It is clean, brightly lit with halogen lamps, but very friendly. A gem

So really it was our fault because we were drawn in by the slightly cheaper than normal prices. We should have known really that we would get what we paid for except we got much worse than we paid for! For starters we ordered brushetta which was basically a bit of toast, sprinkled with salt and some tomato pieces. I... More

I have wonderful memories of this Trattoria. It has the thinnest base of any pizza I've ever eatedn. In canada they call this style #'Cracker' pizza as it is thin as a cracker. The pizzas are large, thin, and 100% fresh! they come with wonderful toppings like fresh rocket [rucola] and tiny tomatoes springled raw on top of the lovely... More

The folks at Baffetto are recommending this place since they are closed. It was the worst meal experience we had in our 10 days in Italy. The bread they served was rock hard, the pizza was tasteless, and the pasta was way too spicy. In addition it took them close to an hour to serve us a pizza and pasta... More

Came here only because a restaurant someone recommended was closed. The service was ok, the regular pizza was good but the calzone was a salty mess. Overall I felt it was a bit overpriced, specially the drinks
