After the wait in line to get into it, we finally got in and tasted the best food possible! I had Tonarelli caco pepe! That was made in the most delicious way possible! Great chef! Will go there again, definitely!

The restaurant seems very popular, perhaps we just had blah things from the menu. The bread was very hard. I had the rigatoni with beef sauce which was ok but very oily. Red house wine was so so. Judging from the amount of Italians waiting outside perhaps we were just unlucky in our menu choices. If you do do I'd... More

We arrived at the restaurant around 1:45 PM and there was line waiting to get in. We decided to wait. We waited outside for about 15 minutes and the line grew longer. We were finally ushered into the restaurant. We should have left as soon as we saw the cramped quarters. They squeezed you in like sardines in a can.... More

On New Year’s Eve, my wife and I decided to have lunch at Da Tonino. We arrived around 1:40 pm, and waited in line outside for 20 minutes before being directed to a table. (This restaurant does not take reservations or credit cards.) What was immediately apparent was the fact that they had crammed tables into 2 relatively small rooms.... More

We stopped by at around 9pm and we're lucky to get in after a 10 minutes waiting time. The food was amazing. Fresh and simple ingredients. This is definitely a place I would recommend to all my best friends.

This place is actually A M A Z I N G! We walked in by chance, and we really had a great dinner like starters, 2 fist courses (pasta) and 2 second courses (meatball), dessert and limoncello, all for ONLY 37€. I really think this place is one of the best restaurants in Rome.

The gentleman who I rented my apartment from recommended this place as having excellent Pasta. At 7:30 p.m., there was a short line to get it. Being Rome, it is a bit early for dining so I went to see other sites. I returned at 9 p.m. and the place was still very full. The service was attentive and friendly.... More

This place used to be better a couple of years ago - now it seems they gave in to the American tastes (and I love America but not the American food) of making everything very salty.

Tasty well cooked tripe and ox tail. We think the food is great. Value for money. Open for dinner at 7, by 7:30pm place already full. So it gets busy quickly and service is a bit rushed.

I just found this little restaurant "by chance". It is almost "tiny" with a guest-capacity of about 30 maximum - but it is really cosy and nice. Food is perfect (I had pasta carbonara; you saw and felt that this is the true carbonara - with egg and not with cream). The house-wine was perfect (5 Euro/ mezzo litro) and... More

There are a number of posts (in the forum or review of location) that mention this trattoria in Rome, but no actual review of it or a listing of it under restaurants in Rome. We just ate there and thought it was fabulous. We would like an opportunity to review it on TA.
